I was a member of this YMCA for almost 6 months, transferred from the Cupertino Branch. First off the facility is overcrowded, the gym is woefully inadequate. The cost is prohibitively high, 125$ for 2 people. The are only a limited number of cardio machines and the weights are only a few and there is very little space to work out. You have to keep moving (even in the middle of your sets) to stay out of others way, and this during their off-peak hours. Their cancellation policy is on their cancellation form. They made me pay for an extra month to cancel, because I cancelled just 2 days before my billing cycle ended :(. Overall an extremely disappointing experience.
Avoid this place if you want to primarily use the Y to workout.

For the hot summer, an outdoor pool is a good thing but not in the winter. Good facilities and they also have a bsketball court--call for open hours.

I really like the YMCA in Mountain View. It has a lot of equipment and pretty knowledgable staff working there. I also like the fact that there are a lot of younger people working out there - I have a chance to make some friends (in fact, i've made one so far.)

The Y features a large selection of workout machines from treadmill to weights. Their pool is a bit dirty and i never swim because it has a LOT of chlorine. Don't swim if you're sensitive to chlorine. Employees are friendly and sometimes interact with the kids. Prices are decent, but you can find cheaper.
A bit crowded so you need to wait for machines sometimes.
Decent

this ymca is great because the facility is clean and also they have a lot of exercise machines, a hot tub, and a pool heated just right. the staff are friendly and cool to talk to. the parking is not so good because sometimes it's crowded and hard to find parking. overall this is a good place to exercise and just hang out.

The Y is great value. Very clean facility. Early morning is busy, and you sometimes have to wait for a machine, but if you plan what time you arrive you'll be happy. they offer mom and me swim classes, although the prices are higher than many other swim centers. Parking can be a challenge (again, try to avoid early morning). Overall, good value for your money.

plentry of exercise machines- it's hard to get an elliptical machine during peak ours though. it was a good selection of classes- i['ve taken cycling and kick boxing. i don't like their hot tub. The pool is kept at a good temperature, but i think it should be deeper. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere inside is very comfortable. Finding parking may be frustrating at times.
