This place is the best at one drink:
Green Tea Latte with Green Tea Jello! Anytime we're around the area, we try to head here to get it. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about their other drinks, as they have been hit or miss. Get this one and you can't go wrong.

Note: This boba shop is no longer part of the Upper House chain. On my two visits since the change, I have had one good experience and one bad (flavorless boba that wasn't that fresh). What follows is my original review.

Upper House, on Sawtelle in the 2 story shopping center near the corner of Olympic, is hands-down the best place to get your boba fix, and believe me, I have shopped around. I have had boba in St. Louis, Houston, and many other places around LA, and no one else does boba like Upper House. They have a somewhat small menu, and quirky hours (2pm-midnight), but their honeydew frappee with boba is otherwordly. Upper House's boba is extra sweet (probably soaked in a sugary syrup) and they put it into your drink while it's hot and fresh, making the first few sips, with their juxtaposition of hotwarmgooeysweet and coldicysmoothsweet, pure bliss.

Parking in the area can be a pain, as the lot is crowded and you have to get your parking ticket validated, but there isn't always an attendant there when you arrive to give you the ticket. However, I've never had an actual problem.

Also, you can use the internet for 15 minutes on their computer with your purchase.

Finally, if you purchase an Upper House card for $20, you get $5 free credit, which is quite a good deal.
