I have been going to this sushi restaurant for over 9 years-The sushi is always fresh and the service is wonderful-
No reservations needed, the although parking is sometimes difficult, the sushi is good enough to amke the effort@
I have been going here for 20 yrs. Always good service, especially at the sushi bar. A MUST TRY: cold noodle salad. My personal fav. Great sashimi, good sake selection, great traditional Japanese food. I love it.
I love going to this place. I've been going for 5 years now. The food is amazing especially the sushi and appetizers. The fish is so fresh! The owners are always there and they greet me like family. I make a lot of Japanese food at home and for me to choose to go out to eat Japanese, it has to be something special.
Pros: excellent sushi, staff is warm, great apps
Cons: parking challenging, crowded on weekends, little pricey
This is the best dish on the menu and worth every penny. Almost everything on the menu is outstanding and the staff will help guide you if you tell them what you like. Hands down my favorite Japanese food in the city.
Cons: parking
I ordered a "tofu and mixed green salad with wild salmon", and a green tea. My green tea was given to the table next to me, as the patrons realized it wasnt theirs since they had already paid their check. My salad came out first, sans salmon. The tofu was in the whole block from the container they took it out of. The salad had virtually no dressing or marinade for the tofu. The salmon came out 3-5 minutes after the salad on a separate plate, and it was very brick-like. The flavor was very fishy and the texture was anything but flaky. oh, and for 16.50 to have that lack of quality is unacceptable. The 2 rolls my date ordered were decent, but you can head to clement st or geary and have much better sushi for half the price.
Pros: convenient location
Cons: overpriced, food, service
If you are tired of the same old boring fish, go to Ten-i-Chi! Kanpachi, wild salmon, aji, uni, are on their regular menu and available almost everyday, always very fresh. And any sushi connoisseurs knows, for best service and food, sit at the sushi bar!
Pros: fresh quality, large selectin , yummy sushi rice
Cons: parking
I've been to Ten-ichi a few times and have had enjoyable experiences each time. The fish is always solid and the atmosphere is cozy. It's a friendly neighborhood joint that is not super trendy, which is nice for a relaxing dinner when you want decent food which won't break the bank.
Pros: good food, friendly service
Whatever you do, do not order the searing vegetables! It's overpriced, partially burnt and unfresh. I don't know how this place got a 9.2. Perhaps I shouldn't have ordered vegetables in a Jpn rest., but good grief, you'd think for $14, I'd get some decent vegetables.
Pros: fast seating, fast service
we really enjoyed this place, especially for a pre-dinner meal. inventive dishes, good service, and a beautiful interior. a little pricey, but nice for a night out.
Pros: Inventive Food, Healthy Options
Cons: No Reservations, Expensive
Great food and awesome service. My girlfriends and I were there for a girls night out. The food kept coming and the drinks too!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
