Emma Prusch is a cute little farm with animals, and a picnic area. It's free to get in and walk around. They have ducks, cows, sheep, pigs, etc. There is plenty of parking. They also have occasional festivities, and a summer camp. It's a nice day away from home and gives kids the opportunity to learn about farms and a little history as well.

If you want a free day out with your kids this is the place to go. Yes, you get what you pay for and you won't see concession stands, disney characters, etc., but you will see a cute farm in the middle of San Jose. There's a small area with ducks, geese, rabbits, peacocks, etc. and a larger barn with cows, pigs, sheep (all of which the kids can touch). The animals are all owned by various farms in the area. There's also a large grassy area to eat a picnic.

The Scene
Deeded to the city of San Jose in 1962, this 47-acre dairy farm, surrounded now by the city, gives visitors a glimpse of San Jose's rural past. A restored 19th-century white farmhouse is now the information center,…
