I have to say my experience with Dr. Eshima and his fabulous team was one of the most friendly, easy and professional experiences in my life. I traveled from Vienna, Austria where I live for a mini-facelift, upper and lower eyelift, and browlift.

First, let me say even the first day or week (though a little bruised and swollen), you will know it was best thing you ever did for yourself. I felt like a new person, walking on air. Really amazing. Its like being you as you picture yourself to be. Not a young woman in an old womans body. I am almost 48 and I feel and look to myself at least 35. Extremely natural. Me, just younger.

I did a lot of research and read reviews on this site (which helped). I am very picky about credentials, and I didnt find anyone with better ones. I arranged the whole thing easily from Vienna by internet and phone. Dr. Eshimas team was very attentive and prompt. They called me and sent me information and pictures. I emailed photos and questions. Then we scheduled a phone call. When I had additional questions, I just scheduled another call and then scheduled a surgery date.

On the call I was convinced that he was the right doctor. Friendly, knowledgeable, confident, honest. He actually suggested I didnt need the browlift. But a friend who had it all done said: if you are flying, taking down time, paying the hospital stay, anesthesia, etc. just do it. And I thought I didnt want to wish five years from now I had done it. So I did it anyway and I am extremely pleased with the result.

Dr. Eshimas team will send you everything you need. If you need accommodation, or even want suggestions on sight-seeing, they will help you organize everything.

When I arrived, I met the team. I spent about an hour with Dr. Eshima asking all kinds of questions. He was friendly, patient, extremely knowledgeable. I then spent some time with Magaly (his right hand woman) who will hand hold you through the entire experience, getting more info. Lindsey, Alicia, and Carolyn, will also be there to help you with anything you need. You will get checklists of what items to have, what to eat, what to do, everything you need. When I had another question for the doctor, they just took me back in and let me talk with him as long as I liked.

When surgery time came, it all went very nicely. I had friends warn me about how unpleasant even good hospitals are. But I didnt have this experience at all. The hospital is very nice and everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Eshima works with a hand-picked team and they are all fantastic.

My private nurse (provided by Dr. Eshima), Mary Kay, was also great. She took care of me all night after the surgery. Gave me instructions on how to take care of things when I left the hospital, and packed me up with everything I would need.

In addition to follow-up with the doctor, you will get a call from Magaly, every single day for about 3 weeks (wherever you are, and on weekends) to see how you are. You can ask every question, and if you need to talk to the doctor, no problem. And she will continue to check up with you even after that every few weeks or so.

You will be able to see a marked improvement even the first time you look in the mirror. I think it was about 10 to 14 days before I put make-up on, but I was basically able to cover up any redness with make-up. Whole thing amazing, eyes incredible. He tells you the eyes will only get more beautiful over time, and they do.

I only told a few of my very best friends about the surgery who said WOW! you look just like you, but younger! Its true, completely natural look, just much younger! 3 friends (out of about 6 I told) were so impressed, they are in contact with Dr. Eshima. One of them is a very good friend in Germany who was previously married to an extremely good plastic surgeon, and would only accept the best. She thought the result was incredible and so natural. I didnt tell anyone else in Vienna what I had done; didnt want them to know. When I got back people just said, Wow, you look great! They couldnt really figure out what was different. I said I had a make-up makeover! Of course my husband knew, and although he said I didnt need to do anything, was extremely pleased anyway (he is 6 years younger than me).

You should know, Dr. Eshima only does faces (most other doctors do everything). Every single day, for years. He is an expert. If you coax it out of him, eventually you will learn that his mother was an artist, and he trained to be an architect. He has incredible medical talent paired with artistic and spatial abilities. He was hand picked and trained by Jackie Kennedys world famous plastic surgeon who more or less wrote the book on plastic surgery. His work is all word of mouth, which shows how good he is. Paired with his incredible team, you just cant go wrong.

In 2006 I was referred to Dr Eshima by Dr Glogau my dermatologist. I went to Dr Glogau seeking something radical beyond Botox to get rid of my sagging eyebrows. He handed me Dr. Eshima's card and said what I needed was a brow lift. I was tired of passing every mirror and feeling the urge to pull up my forehead with my hands.

I loved the results Dr Eshima gave me with the brow lift. I now had a great forehead but then I noticed that my eyes, cheekbones and jowls were losing their crisp and clean line. So after having been so impressed with his work the first time, I went running back to Dr Eshima. This time he suggested a mini-facelift. Oh my! What can I say? The mini-facelift took me back to the face I had but which I had forgotten. It was revelation and reminder at the same time. So now I get up in the morning feeling confident with a zest for life.

In the high-tech industry where I work, the need to present myself as youthful and vibrant is imperative to my success. I don't want to be taken as somebody's aunt. That is so pass in an industry where every success story belongs to a twenty-something.

I am now an absolute convert to plastic surgery. All the chemical peels and lasers can't even touch the results I have now.. Only plastic surgery can make someone in their fifties look like they were in their early 30's. Of course I don't look like a teenager today, but what I have gained is timeless elegance.

I am lucky to have met Dr.Eshima.He has saved me tons of time and money on lasers and peels.I am very happy with the elegant shape and graceful contours of my face. The effect is subtle and stunning.

I am a teenager and am very uncomfortable with a nose that does not fit my face. I have always hated the big bump of my nose and my mom told me that i could finally do something about it this summer. After visiting numerous doctors, I came across Dr. Eshima who was more concerned with what i wanted and i how i felt than any other doctor had been. I went to L.A. where i was told my nose needed narrowing and i should probably get a chin implant to "maintain harmony" in my face. Dr. Eshima said no such things and assured me he could do minimal work but still make me look how i want to. He made sure that is what i truly wanted and i was not just doing it because i had been made fun of or pressured. He said he said i am on the younger side of patient, but judged from my answers that i was mature anough to handle the result. I am getting my nose done this summer and i could not be more excited.

I had blepharoplasty (eye lid lift) from Dr. Eshima six days ago. His staff was comprised of superb professionals and he is indeed honest, direct and very talented.

I loved working with him because he is so confident in what he does and does not try to suggest any other procedures than the bare minimum. (I am a young fit 41 and my skin is in good shape, I just knew where my genes were taking me...my whole family has really full then saggy upper eyelids.)

My biggest worry was that a surgeon would give me that ghastly, hollowed out Michael Douglas/Kenny Rogers look, when my eyes naturally were a lot more full and Nicole Kidman-ish.

Dr. Eshima left the puffy 'fatness' around my eyes and took out the hooding that was starting to develop. I still look like me, just a less crepe-y version.

I have 2 friends who went to Dr. Eshima for face lifts. The end result- Absolutely beautiful. They are so happy with what he did. Another girlfriend - a nurse who use to assist in surgery- viewed his work on our friends and had this to say--"the scars were so fine that she had never seen such delicate and sophisticated work". I have spoken with him about what I need. He is so present caring and realistic. He told me I needed to focus on my eyes. Other doctors told me I needed a face lift , nose , and eyes. May you enjoy your time with him as much as I did. I will be having surgery within 6 months as I can no longer accept my aging eyes and appearance.

Dr Eshima has worked on many friends and relatives , all of whom loved the job he did. He's honest, and compassionate. If you want lipo, laser, or a full-face lift, Dr. Eshima is probably the best, if not one of the best in the Bay Area. You get what you pay for, and cosmetic surgery isn't cheap, but this is one area where you should not consider skimping. Dr. Eshima is a truly fine doctor.
