I first found out about Laura's years ago when they used to sell small pound cakes at a craft fair. They were the yummiest I had ever had and it took some doing to find them. They now have a very small sandwich and bakery shop, and they're not open very long - until about 2pm, but it's certainly worth it to get there! The have the MOST delicious chicken salad served on their own wonderful homemade croissants, cookies, and quick breads. I take a book and read outside on the patio chairs and enjoy my lunch! It's a treat!

I love to try out small family-owned businesses. When I noticed this little hole-in-the-wall bakery with plastic tables and chairs outside, I had to try it. (To be fair, they had been in the neighborhood much longer than I had.) I was not disappointed. The baked goods are uniformly fabulous. The lunch offerings are quite good as well. During summer weeknights, a dinner is also offered, but so far, I'm not a big fan of dinner. I'll stick with the cinnamon rolls. (Every possible pun intended.)

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Al fresco dining

Cons: Small seating area, limited menu
