DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS DOCTOR AS THEIR 1ST DENTIST EXPERIENCE
I took my 3 year old son for his 1st dentist appointment
I wanted to make sure to he will not get any trauma so that he can come later again
my son was scared from the doctor and cried , they tried talking to him for a couple of minutes and gave him stickers , but eventually seems like the doctor lost his patience and told me that we should try to get it over with fast, they asked me and another Nurse to hold his hands and fit and while the child was crying/screaming he was looking at his teeth, the doctor then started shouting on the boy to stop crying (several times)
after the check-up was over they gave him a toy , but I think no toy can overcome the trauma of this treatment

We have been seeing Dr. Nick Gorgani for over 5 years. We couldn't be happier with him and his staff. The office is super kid friendly. My kids are always seen very quickly and Dr. Nick and his staff are especially patient and gentle with my special needs son. In all our years of seeing Dr. Nick we have never felt rushed. He takes time to answer all my questions thoroughly. My kids will actually ask to go see Dr. Nick and will thank me afterwards for taking them to the dentist!!

We had a butterfly (upper jaw expander) put in our son's mouth - the whole procedure went well. We were happy to catch this while he was young - it may even prevent more expensive braces later. I am always glad to get preventative work recommended and completed to our own dentist's satisfaction.

Now I wish these dentists were for adults. My kids love going to the dentist. They are friendly to the kids, and at the end of each visit, they get a new toothbrush, dental tape, and toys to choose from a huge chest. Not only are they very good dentists, they have helped us with advice for our orthodontist, they accept emergency visits, have someone on call for emergencies, and have all the amenties that kids love. They can watch a movie, listen to music and get toys. Their experience is always a postive one. My kids are never afraid to go to their dental appointments. They also have orthodonistry. The dentists staff is usually very friendly and kind with the kids. They give reminder calls about appointments. And they make the wait time very short in the office.
PROS:
CONS: Their parking lot is not large enough.

Pediatric Dentistry on Altos Oaks Drive is always crowded with kids. You can tell how poplular this place is. Kids get watch video during treatment and get to pick goodies when they are done. Even though this place is always busy, my son never has to wait for the appointment. Doctor is always on time.

Pediatric Dentistry physicians and staff are not only skilled professionals but caring and compassionate to their patients. As they adeptly provide their broad range of services, they are always sensitive to the unique charcteristics of the patients and carefully assess the timing of next steps in their individual dental care. Pricing is competitive. Communication is excellent.

Both my children get their dental and orthodontic care at Pediatric Dentistry of Los Altos and we have been very pleased with both the care and general atmosphere of the office. Everyone from the doctors to the schedulers are pleasant. I have found the care to be thorough without being over the top. I recommend them for your family.

Dr. Gorgani is part of the Pediatric Dentistry Group located in Los Altos. He is wonderful with kids. The office has a great receptionist staff and nurses. I highly recommed this group as a great dental staff for your children.

This practice is pretty broad based with a dentist and a orthodontist under one roof. The fees are better here than some other places yet has similar amenities for the kids (ceiling mounted screen to watch videos or play games). Dr. Gorgani is really good with kids and the dental assistants are exceptional. It is really easy to work through the front office and they call you to remind you of the appt.--can be a lifesaver for the overscheduled family.
