FASCISTS TREATED PRISONERS BETTER THAN THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WHOM ON TOP OF THAT THEY OVERCHARGE WITH HIDDEN "DRINK FEES" AND MAKE TO TAKE FORCED "ADVERTISEMENT" WHEN THEY DON'T WANT TO. most ridiculous experience I have ever had in any restaurant. staff is rude and uncivilized. first the cashier oversold me "beverages" on top of regular price. then the server who was cutting the stake was so rude that my appetite almost went away, last but not least, I left the "receipt" on one table but set on another table. the waitress approached for the receipt, I told her I left it another table, as soon as I finish, I will make sure to put it back to this one, if that is so important. I was in the middle of eating, and she started almost yelling on me that I must quit eating and go get the receipt right now. I called the manager, and instead of him apologizing he started acted like a punk. They made me in the middle of having a meal for which they overcharged without me asking them for that to leave it and go to the cashier. I asked the cashier that someone is sitting on that table, but she can check my credit card I paid to make sure it is paid off. Cashier is telling, she can't do that while it was done about 10 minutes ago. finally another waitress found the receipt, and this is while the restaurant is in Burbank - a city where relatively high-income people live and where there is very low crime rate, not like Compton or South East LA. In addition, there is only one way to enter, and nobody can enter without paying. I asked the manager to give me his name, he telling "I don't want to give you my name". I asked him " do I look like a person who will sneak to get a meal"? Shortly, he refused to give me his name until I could read it on his batch. Also, I have been in Home Town Buffet before, and recently they cut a lot in menu and want to suck peoples' blood by fraudulent charges to make up. They are corporate owned, I found out later, nobody owns franchise. DON'T GO THERE AND MAKE THE OWNER WHO HAS HUNDREEDS OF THESE RESTAURANTS WHO TEACHES HOW TO SUCK PEOPLE'S BLOOD HIS EMPLOYEES TO GET REACH BY AT THE SAME TIME TREATING YOU LIKE THAT. Last time I will ever go to this place. There are lots of Oriental great buffet places. In Downtown Burbank too, they treat you like a guest so that you want to leave as much tip as possible, not like this one.

If you're looking for unending servings of standard American style comfort food at an okay price, this is your place. However, be prepared for loud, obnoxious patrons and harried staff. The dining room staff here is constantly

Pros: lots of parking

.

We used to come here for their wide assortment of food, but it's now over $10/person and on a weeknight, their special was steak that they serve a sliver of. Maybe because we came within an hour of closing, but still, the food was not replenished. They had a taco bar, which didn't look too appealing. Their desserts looked as though they've been out too long. I will not be back anytime soon.

PROS: Get there early, when food is "fresh"
CONS: Overpriced

Hometown Buffet is a great family restaurant to come to on weekends. Be prepared it will be crowded and usually a wait but the food is good for a buffet and there are LOTS of options. Also a good breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays.

P.S. If you're a fan of Spanish shows like Secretos, Jose Luis, etc. their studio is right across the street and they come to eat here often.
