A friend recommended Joann and Cindy from their old salon, before their joint venture here. Not only do they not listen to what you want, they make fun of the customers in front of their faces when they think the customers do not understand their dialect.

I asked for a trim and Joann always gives me a hard time that I do not cut it more than 4 inches at a time. I like my long hair, end of story. One time, I had them cut it shoulder length, but they kept insisting I get a perm too, even though I said i didn't want a perm. They kept badgering me, but thankfully I was on a time crunch and couldn't get it done. I took my cousins with me when I went too, and Joann would never cut my cousin's hair more than 2 inches at a time, even though her hair grows fast and she requests to have 8 inches cut off. The style is mediocre. I could just go to the Fantastic Sam's and get the same quality of cut and infinitely better service for less than one-third the price.

Also, they make appointments in a chaotic way. They schedule everyone at the same time and there's usually a two hour wait. Where the stylist isn't even there, you have to wait an extra hour on top of that for the stylist arrive, strolling in as if without a care in the world. And the guy who washes hair thinks he's above the clients. Won't even give them the light of day until the stylist asks them to wash the client's hair.

I have vowed to never return. I'm actually on my way out to try another salon a little further away I found on citysearch. For better service alone, I'd go the extra mile and make the longer drive and pay an extra couple of bucks.
