In the title I say if you love your pet stay away. A more complete sentence would be "unless you truly hate your pet stay away"
I took my cat here. Sweet young cat. They tested her -- 500 dollars worth of tests. They gave her a shot. A few hours later she was screaming as if she was on fire and died a painful death. Either they killed her with the shot or they were grotesquely incompetent in their diagnosis.
The next day I called to find out what happened and the vet would not even return my calls. Finally found another doctor there and through embarrassment got her to prevail upon the vet to call us. There was never any reasonable explanation. So the one star is based both upon skill and upon caring.
Oh yeah, they kept all 500 dollars.

All of the VCA's animal hospitals have a great staff and awesome doctors. But if you are on a budget this place offers low costs vaccines once a month. You may have to wait a little but it's worth it. You save some $$.

Many years ago my dog, my first baby was hit by a car and I rushed her here.. They took her right in and when she passed there they were very supportive. They let me have time with her in the room and when I was ready to let go they discussed my options. They were totally upfront about the costs. We decided to have her cremated and when her body came back they called and they had her in a very nice box with her name labeled on it. They sent a card with their sympathy's personally signed by the staff - not just a standard stamp...Great service - Friendly- efficent

I unfortunately brought in a very sick cat in the midst of kidney failure.
I had Dr. Hare treating my cat. She has gone above and beyond to insure my cat is getting the best treatment. Dr. Hare explained what is needed to recover my cats health, and was very responsive to my concerns and questions and takes pride in her work.
I have had numerous vets in the past, and can easily declare that she is the best vet I have ever had as she is thorough, dedicated, and kind. My cat is on the road to recovery thanks to this fine establishment.

The vets at VCA helped us when we rescued our dog from an individual who did not want her anymore. We set up an emergency appointment and the admin staff at VCA managed to squeeze us in during a busy weekend. My dog was obviously suffering from malnutrition so we wanted advice on what to start feeding her asap. The staff at VCA gave us food brand suggestions and also diagnosed an eye and tooth infection. The facility itself is clean and well maintained. Parking can be an issue since the animal hospital sits on the same parking lot as Oakridge Mall. I found the staff to always been helpful and amiable, even when we bring our rambunctious dogs in for checkups.
PROS: Facility is very clean and sanitary
CONS: Parking can be difficult during busy mall hours
