We went here every couple of weeks - Acapulco is good fun for a cheap meal, and the Margarita Mondays are great value. They give you endless corn chips (as most Mexican places do) and the food is decent, not fantastic Mexican, but certainly edible. The guacamole is not so good - can make better at home, but in all, the food is okay. However, one of our party left a pair of expensive sunglasses here - we rang within 10 mins and said we'd return to collect them. When we went back that night, it proved too busy to get proper attention, so returned again that week. THEY LOST THEM!!! Not only that, the floor manager bumbled around, went downstairs, came back, looked in his office, came back etc. etc. for 15 mins. Honestly, you wonder what kind of people are "managers" these days, when you meet this guy. Then the other manager came out and basically said "well, you left them here. Oh well". ?!?!?!?!?!?! To REGULAR customers???!!! No apology, no explanation, just RUDENESS and INNEFICIENCY. So, in short, they managed successfully to alienate regular customers, who will NEVER return to this location. Don't go - either go to another Acapulco, or go somewhere with better food.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: RUDE management, disorganization, no parking, they have no idea what they're doing.

This is a great place to go to fight those Monday blues- with their $2 margaritas! I came here this week while the March Madness championship game was on and the place was buzzing with Bruins! It was difficult to get seating so we left, but I've been there other times (usually when there isn't an important game) when it wasn't too crowded. Their happy hour is awesome, and their $1 tacos are well worth it!

Acapulco is known for its great Happy Hour and Margarita Mondays, but I also like going there for dinner. The service is fast and friendly, and the unlimited free chips and salsa are excellent. I always order the chicken burrito gigante - this burrito is insanely HUGE and good to split with a friend, but is so delicious and moist. The fajitas and quesadillas are also great. It's reasonably priced Mexican food, especially for a nice sit-down place. Parking in Westwood is tough but there is a pay lot across the street.

I'm a UCLA student and my friends and I have visited this restaurant for happy hour twice in the past few weeks. The service here is amazing! We're students with our backpacks on there to get free food and cheap drinks and they treat us like royalty. Instead of filling our water glasses they bring us fresh, always full chips and salsa, and several employees checking to see if your okay. The staff are incredibly friendly and so hospitable! And this is all while in the BAR! I can't imagine the level of service one would receive at a table ordering a meal. The food is okay and the drinks are fair - but it's all about the service!

get there early on mondays and fight the ucla crowd for $2 margaritas! especially crowded over summer with the after work college crowd, forget it after 7:30pm. mango margaritas are good, but the best is the classic one, blended of course. appetizers like the nachos and mini quesadillas are great.

Acapulco's is great for their Happy Hour and Margarita Monday specials. Appetizers are 1/2 off from 4-7pm everyday and there's a pretty good free Appetizer Buffet.

Mondays are a very "college" scene with UCLA students pouring in from 4-10pm for unlimited $2 margaritas. Service is just 'okay' when it gets crowded. It's best to get there before 8pm so you can stake out a table and be waited on, instead of fighting your way to the bar for drinks. Their margaritas come in lots of flavors but their plain, over the rocks with salt is still the best.
