Farrs Stationers

Farrs has excellent service and you can make copies there for 10 cents a copy! It was very cheap and I do all my photocopying there. They also sell notebooks, balloons and everything stationary you can imagine. On occation they have wonderful sales that just blow my mind. I got a staple set for only 2.00 with tax it was a little more. I am always greeted with delight and happiness. It is a joy going into the shop.

Chain stores like Staples and Office Max try to tell you what they think you need. Farr's is more like a stationary store from 30 years ago. They carry a wide variety of basic personal, office and home business supplies. It's about the only place where I can still find Esselte journals and account books.
Farr's is also a gold crown Hallmark store. (You can use your Hallmark card here and get points for Hallmark purchases.) They carry current Hallmark merchandise and participate in Hallmark promotions.
Copiers are available for customer use. There is a help counter in the back of the store and a sale table down the middle of reduced merchandise.
Farr's does not carry software or many computer supplies. This is probably why it's losing in the competition with the larger chain stores and will be closing over the next few months. Too bad. As of the end of April, everything in the store is 30% off. Watch for the reduction to increase as the end gets near.

Farr's has been around for as long as I can remember. It has a great selection of things like gifts, balloons, cards, stationary, aper and other random office supplies, which is surprising because it's a relatively small store. The prices, especially for photocopying, are great. Go there because it's a local place - a nice, quiet, mom-and-pop relief from the near-absurd number of chain stores in cerritos, go there because you can probably find what you need, go there because the owners are really nice people, go there because right next door is Rite-Aid, where you can get a nice scoop of ice cream for a buck.
