I love Fresco. It's a very cute little bakery/delicious restaurant combined! I love their tuna club! Everything else that I have tried has been amazing as well. It's super fresh, and good! Service is awesome, and the food is super high quality at affordable prices!

...is a unique place in Santa Barbara. We went here two years in a row for a special cake for our parent's anniversary and everyone was thrilled with the beautiful and delicious cakes that were created. This is a favorite place for many people in town to have lunch at also with dining inside or out. It's always busy here!

Located in the Five Points Shopping Center next to Blockbuster's. Large parking lot, but it's always crowded in the lot too.

PROS: unique, delicious bakery confections and cakes
CONS: a little bit small inside their shop.

This place really lives up to its name, and it really rises above its surroundings. Located (inexplicably) in a mini mall on upper State St., this Italian/California fushion deli-type place is one of my favorites. They have a huge menu--everything from Italian staples like pizza and panini to California favorites like wraps and salads. There's plenty of meat and plenty of vegetarian options too. My favorite is the ahi tuna club (I get it without the bacon), which comes with a salad ($10.50, I think). It's well worth the extra dollar to upgrade to the gorgonzola walnut salad. They bake their own bread, I believe (try the nine grain on a sandwich) and they use very fresh ingredients. Also wonderful are the Caprese sandwich (with fresh mozzarella, about $8), the mushroom sandwich, and the warmed goat cheese salad. The desserts are also very good. This place is very crowded almost all of the time, though the recent dining room expansion has really helped (and it looks beautiful). If the line is long, here's an idea: do a take-out order and go to a park!

PROS: fresh food, lots of choice, healthy and tasty, reasonable prices
CONS: always crowded and somewhat loud

A friend of my offered to take me out to lunch and she thought Fresco would be a perfect place to try. It took me a while to decide what to order because so many of the items were tempting. I orderd the chicken wrap, which came with a cup of soup. The wrap was alot bgger than I was excpecting and tasted fresh and healthy. I also had the chicken soup and it was warm and comforting. I ended up taking half of it home because it was too much for me. My friend orderd the chicken ceasar salad and said it was very tasty, but she wished there was more (she only ordered the small portion). I hear they make excellent desserts too.
