So lovely to get married at this museum. To have the bride descend down the staircase-you totally forget that you are in a crime-riden section of Santa Ana. Food is wonderful and exhibits are great. The kids section of the museum is very engaging for the little ones. Highly recommend.

While their permanent collection is somewhat lacking in pizazz, they always have top-notch touring exhibits such as the Art of Tibet, or the Mummies of Egypt. Touring school groups can create a bit of a traffic jam, but things usually calm down around afternoon. Their Tangata restaurant is somewhat of a hotspot around town, so if you are planning on eating there, call ahead to make reservations. THis is an educational alternative the the other intellectually frothy pursuits the rest of Orange Countie loves so well.

The Bowers Museum is a wonderful oasis of beauty architecture and history......but it's biggest downfall is the surrounding area. This is a wonderful location for weddings, parties and picture-taking. I have always enjoyed my visits, and I know the event-planning staff is very experienced and accomodating. To have a wedding there is incredibly reasonable and once inside the walls, you forget where you are.

Great museum that has an entry fee unlike some other ones in the area. However, the price is still decent for the entertainment the museum gives. Filled with great art work, air conditioned rooms etc, the museum provides for a good day out and will keep you entertained while learning and looking at art.

Bowers Museum is one of the oldest museums in Orange County. It was originally concieved to showcase the history of Orange County and has a great collection of the pre Columbian art of Mexico, Central America and South America. There are many exhibits which visit the museum including the lastest one on mummies. Within the museum there is an education center and a kid museum where children can touch and wear artifacts from way back.
