Superb service and product! Our Frenchie is very sensitive and has tons of allergies. This outfit has supplied us with Stella & Chewey's frozen duck/goose dog food and when they are (rarely) out of the product, they have given us (yes, FREE) samples of the exact dried product to get us through until their next delivery. Twice a month, at minimum, we have received customized service by informative and patient employees, assisting with a wealth of knowledge and great attitudes. In the age of the web and countless pet stores from whom we can pick our service(s), we choose Pet Supplies in Fountain Valley as our NUMBER ONE supplier for our precious and very loved dog.

The prices are good. The staff is attentive and incredibly knowledgeable. They carry a lot of high end pet food you can't find elsewhere. I have been going there for years and they have always been very helpful, especially the owner Gary, so I don't understand the negative reviews.It's like we are talking about two different stores.

I went here once for some pet food. I was insulted by several of the staff and witnessed very unprofessional circumstances, including the owner openly flirting and touching an employee (he had a wedding ring and she did not). Horrible!

I had never heard of this place before. We moved here from N. CA (san jose) about 3 months ago. My husband and I walked into the store, could not find what we wanted. Saw a gentleman apparently "facing" off shelves and asked him to help us. He looked at us, looked back at the stuff he was shuffling, and then continued to ignore us. We both saw him look right at us, so there was no question he saw us standing there.

We went up front and asked to speak to the Manager, they said the Manager was not available but the owner, Gary, was in. The counter lady lead us back over to, none other than, the same person we had just had the encounter with.

He had this feces eating grin on his face, and we asked him if he was the owner. He said yep, with the same grin on his face.

We left. So for all the people who are praising "gary" I can assure you folks out there, either there are two "Gary's" or he is writing his own review. Everyone else doesn't seem to be wrong. Oh and BTW, the difference in price is so slight at another store, the aggravation alone would be enough never to set foot in Pet Supply again!

This is a really a great place. To bad for the people who say there not coming here again..and for the person who said "His prices are higher than any other pet store"
I really think you should have done more research because from what I have found is that Pet Supply is cheaper then most stores including Pet Co. and comparable or better in price then Pets Smart. Whoever avoids this store just because of the negative comments or because you have been told Gary is mean, I really recommend just trying out this great store and see how wrong these people are,.

Just finished speaking with someone named Gary. Originally called to speak to Store Manager but Gary picked up. After continually interrupting me while I was trying to explain my call, he started letting the Sh*t word fly.

In the background I could hear customers and cash registers ringing.
I had been warned at Dog Park in HB not to do business with Pet Supply just because of his complete lack of Customer Service and complete rudeness.

Worst of all, he claims he is the Owner? He appears to relish in his reputation.

It does amaze me, as others have stated, HOW IS THIS GUY STILL IN BUSINESS?

The most unfortunate part is that I was told, he has opened up a third store.

I will not be supplying him with any more business.

We've shopped at Pet Supply for years, for bird seed for our outdoor feeder. Small purchases, $5.00 or $10.00 at a time. And we've always been treated like we're at Nordstrom's. When we adopted a dog 60 days ago, there was no question where we'd buy supplies. All the staff has been super friendly and helpful, offering advice when we look a little confused. Always well stocked (though the aisles are a little narrow).

I love shopping here. From Gary, the owner, to every person he hires, you get the best advice for whatever strange thing your pet has done.

They sell top quality pet food at great prices, stock a great selection of toys, feeders, carriers, crates, litter, small pet cages... you name it, they've got it. You can also buy some selected meds or holistic care items here that you typically have to buy online. You can even buy Advantage by the tube rather than a 4 or 6-pack.

They also have an anesthesia-free pet dentist come in once a month, and pet photography!

I've taken in some strange questions - and they've had a suggestion or a product every time. Several times, they have given me advice and sent me on my way without selling me a thing. They offer great service coupled with competitive prices and a tremendous amount of experience.

Have another, smaller location at: 7051 W Yorktown Ave.

PROS: Knowledge, prices, product selection
