I arrived at the place about 3:30 in the afternoon and was directed to the back of the lot to look at steel while I waited 30-45 minutes to be helped by one of the employees, who kept telling me he would be with me in just a second. He also took other customers in front of me. I patiently waited. I was building a custom piece of equipment and was flexible on what kind of materials I could use so we spent around an 1 hour picking out the materials and I noticed that none of the prices were much lower than buying them new. Finally picked almost everything out just needed to confirm prices with the owner. I heard someone asking what time is it as if to run the customers off that hadn't finished shopping.

After doing some calculations, I determined that I need to change a few things. By this time Jim apparently one of the owners was there and I tried discussing with him what was needed. He was apparently in no need of someone who wanted to spend $3000 - 5000 especially after 5:00 p.m. We discussed pricing and how he charged for cuts on metal. He was spurting out open ended calculation and talking over my head only because he wasn't connecting the dots on how he was making these calculations. He also stated that he had been doing this for 50 years and that he wasn't stupid. I told him no one called him stupid. I just thought the prices were very high for scrap and that I didn't understand how he was making the calculations not that they were wrong. I also asked for 10-20 minutes more on the yard to complete the order that way they could get started on fulfilling it first thing in the morning because I needed it to do the job. He wasn't having it. So he told his employee to finish wrapping things up and he would take care of me. A customer who was there and heard him explaining the cutting costs to me tried to explain it to me as he Jim was walking to his office and I told him don't worry about it if this guy is going to treat me like this I don't want to do business with him. So Jim turns around and says "you know what buddy forget it" and tears up the paper that had the order on it...

OK Jim you f*&%$n retard. You been doing this for 50 years. And this is all you have learned. You will be doin it for another 50 years while I'm sitting on the beach enjoy my money at 35. I bet I had more money in my car that day than you have in your bank. I've made more money in the last year than you will in the next 20 retard. I have bought more steel privately in the last 5 years than you have over the last 50 and I had someone else do it for me so I don't need to do the calculation but If we need to talk calculations lets do it. I'm was a Pre-Med Biochem Student with honors. I own over 8000 acres, I have 20 Million dollars in Heavy Equipment some of it which is patented under my name..I've been around welding and metal yard my whole life and the successful ones don't treat their customers like that. The list goes on and on you retard and I'm only 30. I've only been doing it for 20 years. F^&k you!!!! You missed out on $3000-5000 which is a lot for you, bum. You didn't get the drop on me Jim I wasn't going to do business with you first, then you said what you said. I finished with your an idiot and need to get your d@#k sucked because your too uptight. Your lucky I didn't knock your f&**(ing teeth out..

Maselli's is listed under tools in the yellow pages, but that doesn't come close to describing what this place is about. The steel yard alone is a world unto itself where they have tons upon tons of new and used steel of all shapes and sized imaginable. Also found is a large selection of Ag/farm equipment and supplies as well as commercial-size construction supplies. The list of what these guys have would fill a four inch thick binder.
