First off I just want to say that the sushi rolls are really delicious, the food isn't why I am giving this low rating review.
Its the repeatedly bad service, and seems to be only one person every time. When we first order the waitress who I also think is the manager did not know what the in roll that we order.
which was a problem because what if I was allergic to one of the ingredient in the dish.
She should have at lease asked the chefs but instead said the there was a lot of thing that looked the same.
Then after spending about only twenty minutes in there, we pay our bill of $21.42 by leaving $22 dollars.
Then the waitress chases out of the restaurant as if we hadn't paid our bill. Then ask why we didn't leave a tip, which was very embarrassing. And also she said that they expect a tip. She had made it seem like that if we didn't tip we weren't welcome there.

Prices are cheap, quality is good but the all you can eat menu is limited. Went there for lunch with my coworkers and decided not to get the all you can eat special so that I could have more flexibility in ordering. Asked the sushi chef if he could make me a couple of very basic items that I never have a problem getting at other sushi bars, nothing elaborate, but the sushi chef said they're too busy and couldn't make those items. I assumed that meant that since it was the lunch crowd they couldn't make it, so I asked the chef if I went for dinner sometime could I order those items. The chef was annoyed simply because I was asking questions trying to find out if I might want to go back another time of day. I ordered fatty tuna and was told by the chef they didn't have any, later I saw some specials written on a board that listed bluefin tuna so I asked if I could order that and the sushi chef commented "I already told you we don't have that" in a rude tone of voice. He also make comments to my cooworker "you recommended your friend to this place?" It seems they just cater to people who want quantity and cheap price, which is fine with me but I was never rude to the chef and have never been treated like that at a sushi bar.

I love this place the drinks are cheap and the fish is fresh the chefs are really great and want to please Jason and Paul they take care and they keep pushing the sushi on you. If you are a big eater I would advise you sit on the bar, sitting on the tables require a longer wait for service and there is only one waitress. My advise to avoid crowds is to go when they first open for lunch or dinner, I like to do lunch because it is cheaper with the exact same menu. I have tried everything on the menu and would recommend the salmon, yellowtail and unagi extra crispy all rolls are good I like the spider roll bottom line it is all good, unless your trying to lose weight. I didn't know what to expect because I read a bunch of mixed reviews previous to actually trying the food here, but WOW! My favorite sushi bar USE to be Kiku Sushi in Monrovia but I think this place tops it! It's small and the setting isn't what you would call "aesthetically pleasing" but it's fine. I didn't mind it, but I know some people need that, so I thought I'd just mention it.

The first specialty roll we tried was the "Ichiban" roll! DELICIOUS! I highly recommend the Ichiban roll, Golden Philly, and Lobster Roll. We basically ate all specialty rolls that night and NONE of them disappointed. The Bacardi Roll is great if you're looking for a little kick! Something VERY different. :] The price for all you can eat is pretty average compared to places I've been, typical prices. :]

The service was very friendly. I was scared of the waitress because everyone said she was rude, but she wasn't rude to us. I think she only gets mean if you don't finish rice or your food, which is common because most all you can eat sushi restaurants have a policy that you must finish all your food. It's disrespectful for you not to. The sushi chef was really cool, they're nice guys.

I think the value here is GREAT! My favorite sushi place EVER! My boyfriend and I barely tried it out on Saturday and we're going back this Friday! :] I HIGHLY recommend this place.

We go to Sushi Ya whenever we are in the mood for sushi. The atmosphere is fun and cozy and the specialty rolls don't dissapoint. If your really hungry the "all you can eat" menu does not dissapoint. We always get the heart attack and anything with salmon. Quality fish at a good price

Sushiya is a fun and cozy place to have sushi. My fiance and I go at least twice a week, and more if we can :) the prices are the best I know of and the quality is even better. Even when there is a line, it is worth the wait! If you want a fun place to drink alot of sake and eat AWESOME sushi try Sushiya. I recomend the golden philly roll and the monkey brains. (no they aren't really monkey brains) :)

I agree with the rest. My wife and I always go here. If you're here for lunch, get the all you can eat sushi for $15. It's worth it if you love to eat sushi.

Fish is always fresh and the chefs are awesome. They love to give huge chunks of sashimi.

Also, beer is $1-$1.50 on tap always: Budweiser, Bud Light, Kirin.

Best place, best price, best quality.

*Oh by the way, you might want to double check your bill every once in a while.

PROS: Sushi, Portions, Chefs, Beer on tap
CONS: Service sometimes slow, make mistakes on bill, crowded (small place)
