I just moved to Pasadena from the east coast. I've been looking for the new salon for my beauty needs...i went to several so called renowned salons in pasadena....But the name and the reputation don't fit with the jobs they'd given me...i was very disapointed in them...My collegue saw the disappointment in me so she gave me Ravissant business card and asked me to try out....i was hesitate at first but i tried....she recommended Tammy...so i went with tammy last week and she not only fix my look but recreated the new and a different me...and i love it so bad....i make the right choice calling ravissant and i hope to share my experience with everyone...so pick up the phone and call ravissant...u will be satisfy and happy with your new look like me....and Tammy, i will see u again after your maternal leave...

If you want the best mani/pedi in the Los Angeles area, go to Mavis at Ravissant. Her technique is professional and her tools are impeccably clean. She has a huge range of color choices and great taste. Her manicures last forever and my nails have never been in better shape. As a plus she is funny and fun and beautiful.

I live in pasadena for years and try out different hair stylists at different salons. I like to try out new places....I have not been to Ravissant before...but i read good things about this salon in pasadena weekly when they gave girls at Hillsides a make-over....I decided to try them out....i saw tami name in the paper...so asked for her....i went and had my color and cut with her...She is one of the good hair stylists that i had so far.... she not only gave the me best colors that i asked for but also the greatest cut that i had ever had....y i said this...after the appt...i received so many compliments that never had with previous haircuts...so i was very impress with her works...so i decided to have tammy as my permanent hair stylist...I've been coming to her for the last four times....and the results still phenomenon....so i like to share this with everyone....and hope you have a excellent experienced like i did....

Hi I have been seeing Gill for my haircut and Tammy for my color and I have to say I have been to alot of salons and this by far is my favorite all time color and cut. It is worth the drive from santa monica. Tammy saves me hours of my time and the health of my hair with this secret one step process she does. I was on vacation last month in Italy where I had my hair done. They used a product I've heard of, but not been able to find! Maybe you can help me. Does your shop carry CHENICE OF BEVERLY HILLS product? or can you direct me to where I can obtain this line of products.

I went to Ravissant more than a year ago and when my stylist was not available at the appt. time (because the previous client was late) I had my hair cut by Tammy. She gave me the haircut SHE thought I should have, in spite of what I asked for. She used the razor when I asked for a clean scissors layered cut and I ended up with a look I hated. On top, Tammy was rude and with an exaggerated perception of her skills. My original stylist ended up fixing my haircut one week later and I will never step inside Ravissant ever again, until Tammy owns it.

When former owner Freddy owned it. And I never had a bad experience with them at all. They were very freindly and courteouse.
I do not know this new Tammy lady But I have lso been to the salon In Pasadena and Erica Arboleda did an Awesome job with my hair..I had not seen her In years...It is very classy and sheek.
But I do agree if you dont like the cut have them fix it right.They always did good job on my dew which I appreciate very much to bad Freddy had to leave he was a very nice and even more a hard worker..Tammy I hope the best for you in your venture. And maybe when I get back out that way can come get my hair done by you....

Don't believe the reviews about a rude owner at Ravissant!!! First off, the owner is a woman, not a man...so I suspect that some of these reviews are just either outdated or mistaken. I have been a customer of Tammy's since before she bought the salon, and I tell you, SHE IS TRULY GIFTED. I have worked (and been a patron) at many of the best salons in New York, San Francisco and LA. I've been to some of the swankiest places in SoCal and sat in the very same chairs the celebs frequent, but no other stylist has demonstrated the consistently fabulous make-over ability that Tammy has. Her vision always results in a signature 'do that's complimentary to the customer's personality and aesthetic, and it grows out beautifully - she's an exceptional cutter and knows her color, too. Plus, the staff always treats me very well. The salon is beautiful and modern and simply a joy to visit. Good coffee... or wine...and a great product selection, too.

I lived in Bakersfield. I went shopping in Old Town Pasadena for my new wardrope for job interview. After shopping, i felt like something missing. I was on my way back to the parking area and i passed by Ravissant Salon. I came in and asked the price for the haircut. I was quoted from 55 to 75 for woman hair cut. I told her that my hair was short and would it be still at the same price?. the owner told me yes. She told me that i could get a hair cut anywhere for the lowest price but the techniques, skills, and highly trained were the keys to determine the price at Ravissant. I was hesitated and doubted for couples mins. I turned to the owner and I asked her what was her price. She told me 70. I told her, so you're the senior hairstylist? She said yes. I told her that i wanted her to cut my hair and if i wasn't please with it. I will not pay for the service. She confidently said yes. I went to her station and got ready. After enjoying my chardonay, I got my hair nicely fixed. After seeing myself in the mirror, I was SATISFIED with the hair and happy that i'd make a right choice. I told her, " YOU'RE DESERVED YOUR PRICE." I paid for my service and left. I had more confident after the haircut. The good thing was that my interview went easy and even my boss complemented my hair. So I called and said thank to the Owner Of Ravissant. Once again, Thank you for putting more confident in me and making me look pretty.

I came to Pasadena for the business conference. I needed a haircut badly. I stopped by ravissant salon and asked if i could have an appt. I was greeted and accommaded by the frienly and good-looking receptionist. I waited for 5 mins. The female hair stylist approached me and introduced herself. After greeting, we went to her station and she aske0d, "how would i like to wear my hair?" I told her that i don't have any idea yet but i had a conference comming up and i needed to look good for my presentation. She said "alright". and she started cutting. the next thing i know, she cleaned me up nice with this Amazing haircut. I was pleased with it and paid for the service. The thing that surprised me was that after leaving the salon for 5 mins, There was a couples that approached me and asked where did i get such a Sharp and great hair cut. I showed them the place.. and left. I hope they walked in the salon. After that experience, i had more confident in me and my conference turned out wonderfully. I called and thanked the hairstylist and I'm now one of their regular.

It was first time I have my hair done here but I truly recommend this salon to you guys. Good service and experienced stylist. All my friends said my new hair cut make me look much younger and elegant. Try it once if you still doubted.

The owner is VERY rude and some of the stylists aren't even licensed! If you are thinking about getting your hair done at Ravissant, you might want to think again...

Mavis is great for eyebrows and nails - she is meticulous and always does a nice job, but do NOT get your hair done there! After trying a couple of years back and being disappointed with the results, I decided to give it another shot and made an appointment for a blowout with the former owner (Freddie) who I was told had over 10 years of experience. Although I was charged a higher price because I had booked an appointment with an "expert," Freddie only touched my hair for the last 5 minutes to put the "finishing touches" on it. Instead a novice assistant attempted to blow out my hair.. the poor girl tried very hard, but after over a torturous hour my hair looked worse than I could have done myself! About to cry because I had gone specifically for a special occasion, I told the owner how disappointed I was and asked why the person who I had booked my appointment with only gave 5 minutes of his time and was told that he always has an assistant do his appointments unless you specifically say that you want him to do it (even if you make the appt with him??) The owner's response was "that will be $65" and a suggestion to come back and try them again. Needless to say, I was completely appalled. Go to Manuel at Touche on Lake instead.

"Heads up" to those who used to go to Ravissant but in the last year noticed a negative turn. The long-time owner & creative genius that started Ravissant sold the place & had a falling out with the new ownership.

I went in to redeem a gift certificate and the owner rudely did not want to honor it. After having a very public conversation about it, he stormed off and had one of his stylist work on me. The owner sucks! But the stylist rocks...I also got a message by one of their therapists...kick ass! Lucky for him his stylists keep his business afloat...

Well, the haircuts in Ravissant are surely great. However, I presumed the same would be true for their electrolysis services too. I was sooooo wrong. I got an appointment with Pilar - I guess she is the only electrologist there. Well, I kept going to her week after week for zapping a few hair from the sides of my face, but she kept working on the peach fuzz rather than the actual stray hair that I wanted out, that too after explaining that to her several times. So, I have ended up about $800 poorer and with no difference at all in my sideburns and am still having to tweeze them everday! I don't know if she was doing this on purpose so that I would keep going back to her or she just didn't know what she was doing. She kept telling me that I will start noticing a difference after some time. There was no change even after 6 mths!! Can't believe I fell for that. Agghhhh! What a waste...

Besides a great location (near Colorado Blvd), Ravissant does a great job maintaining a stylish salon feel and hip hairstylists that are well trainined an accomodating. I really liked their hair coloring techqniues and have always felt more beautfiul walking out than I did coming in. I have seen several hair stylists, but really liked Katie the most. This is a great salon for both men and women and their prices are pretty reasonable. I definitely recommend.

Shapes your eyebrows to compliment the shape of your face. Does a great job.

Cool place, good location. Celine cut my hair, very friendly and talkative. Didnt pressure me or rush me and was willing to work hard to make sure i liked the cut.

A hip, trendy, noisy salon with a funky ambiance. Friendly staff and right in the heart of old town.
