My oh my..the Velvet Room is a very nice club. The setup is great. Very upscale crowd. The drinks are made just right and there pretty inexpensive.

I hate write a bad review but I just want to save your time. The only thing that made the club work was the music. I just visited after they re-decorated the place, the music was all BAD. I found out the good DJ was no longer there. The new DJ's are just plain boring, and the DJ "John" should not be on the microphone. Sorry, but no cigar for this club.

Pros: location, parking

Cons: music , music , reservation

The crowd is predominantly Korean. If you've never been to a Korean booking club, you're in for a surprise. First, it is very expensive... to get seated at a table with three or four other friends, expect to pay about $300 a table. But you get a bottle of Crown Royal, some fruit and appetizers, and "booking service." Booking is a popular service in Korea, where waiters break the ice between female and male patrons by randomly bringing girls to guys who are sitting down at tables. It's sort of awkward if you haven't done it before but can be great fun once you get used to it. It's actually a good way to meet many people in one night.

The dancefloor is fairly spacious and the music is pretty good, with a live DJ who plays a combination of hip-hop, popular Korean music, and trance.

The only way to get into this place is to reserve a table for around $100-$200. They were trying to charge us $70 more because we looked too young and we were new faces! The girls they were letting in for less were rather unattractive to say the least, so I guess they only let ugly regulars in for the cheaper price. The drinks are overpriced and watered down and the only hotties you find there will be the bouncers!
