    .

I love Santa Barbara and travel here often. I wanted to try a new hotel and Hotel Oceana was recommended by a friend. When I looked on their website I couldn't be more excited. However, looks can be deceiving! Complimentary bfast, bike rentals and wifi were a plus but they could not make up for what this hotel lacks.

The staff was nice but it seemed as though kids ran the hotel. They also charged me for parking (without telling me) and the lot was full. $10 isn't bad but I feel I shouldn't be charged on top of the hefty price I was paying for the room. There also was no air conditioning! I understand Santa Barbara doesn't get extremely hot but the rooms do! Our room was relatively small but we survived. I wasn't too comfortable in it but we spent most our time outside. The walls are pretty thin and we could hear everything next door. On top of that they charge for in room coffee! I had never experienced that before and did not expect it from this establishment. Not only did the movies not work on the tv, the ipod docks and shower door handle seemed to be falling apart as well. On top of all this, the plumbing had to be messed up because we had a horrible smell coming from the sink, it was unbearable!

I have to say our stay at Oceana was disappointing to say the least. Management needs to get their act together! The only good things were the bfast and bike rentals. Wifi didn't even work during our whole stay. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A very beautiful and clean hotel. Rooms are large and beds very comfortable. The view is great, and can't get closer to the ocean than this hotel. The staff is very friendly and makes our stay warm and inviting. Will come back again and again.

Message from Hotel Milo Santa Barbara

Hotel Milo takes inspiration from Santa Barbara’s most prolific hotelier, Milo Potter, whose magnificent Potter Hotel put this picturesque coastal destination on the map. One of the most centrally located beach hotels in Santa Barbara, Hotel Milo’s lovely 2.5-acre property includes Ambassador Park, a beautiful lawn framed by iconic California palm trees that once served as the grand entrance to the Potter Hotel. Built in the traditional Spanish-style architecture that reflects this city’s rich colonial history, this classic Santa Barabara beach hotel features 122 oceanfront guestrooms and suites, as well as a beautiful courtyard with outdoor pools and gardens.
