I cant even believe how I was treated at this buisness. I took my Suzuki in to get tires and an oil change. My rims are a blue powder coat finish in perfect condition upon arrival. I pay them $150 to put on new tires. When I get my bike

I bought a brand new 2009 Honda Rebel in november 2009 from Santa Clarita. But before I chose to buy the bike from santa clarita, I called about 12 other dealers that were located near me. Each would give me their best price and I would call all the other dealers and see if they could beat the price. Bascially I had to facilitate a bidding war over who could sell me the bike for the lowest price. Santa Clarita matched every price, all the way till the price got down to 3,450. So it was up to me to decide whether to go with temple city powersports ( in san gabriel, california) or Santa Clarita Powersports ( obviously in santa clarita). My father and I went down to Santa Clarita to check out the place (kinda like visiting a college campus, in which you decide if the place would suit you). While we were in the showroom looking at the bike. Another customer approached us, asking if I was gonna get the rebel (I was looking at the rebel so this was an appropriate question) I said hopefully. The customer mentioned that he was waiting for his bike to be serviced and also said something that clinched the deal. The customer said that the service was great, he also said the only reason that he even comes to santa clarita is to get his bike serviced. So after hearing this, my father and I proceeded to buy the bike. Since then I have returned to santa clarita for my bike's 600 and 4000 mile maintenance service. Both times they took my bike in and I had to wait around an hour. But afterwards I could tell the difference. The bike was running smooth, the clutch, brake lever and brake pedal were all tight and even more responsive than they had previously been.
All in all this place rocks, my experiences there have been nothing but great. I hope this comprehensive review will hopefully be a deciding factor in someone's decision to go to santa clarita and not some other honda/kawasaki/suzuki dealer.

Rude employees make you feel like your wasting their time, even though their usually sitten back chattin on the phone or starin at the f**kin wall! Extremely high prices on the most simplest items that they NEVER have in stock. Also, stay away from the mechanics shop, it will cost you about $60 just to open the front door to ask a question. I hope this place goes under soon.

Pros: hot cashiers

Cons: customer service, prices, inventory, location

I would never leave 1 star for anything... BUT... I dropped off my Yamaha Rhino for service, went to pick it up and they had informed me that their shop had gotten broken into and the thieves stole the Rear paddle tires, and my Brushed Yamaha Aluminum stock rims... The owner Al Sayani informed me that they would be replaced with what I had before. One month went by and I had to go on a trip to the Dunes, so he gave me a pair of stock paddles on steel rims to use for the trip to the sand... I thought that was cool, so I was very patient.... Two... Three... Four... months go by and they (Chris, and Gary in the service dept, who do not return numerous phone calls) tell me that Al Sayan told them to tell me "Keep what you have or get nothing at all..." Keep in mind this is not the first time this shop has gotten broken into... So I am out of rims and paddles for the dunes...

This is not my only complaint either... These guys do not match prices of other dealerships without a fight, they are rude, and must be hurting pretty bad because they are not competitive with any dealerships at all... Selling R1's for 13,000?? WHAT? 450 Dirt bikes for 10k??? WHAT? Seriously....

Don't even get me started on their parts dept... They can??t find the rear end of an elephant if it was standing in front of them... Ordering parts that mysteriously vanish after you order them, or they do not arrive for 6 weeks??? AFTER YOU HAVE PAID!

Long storey short, this family owned establishment is as shady as they come... You will never get your stuff fixed if you drop it off there, and you will have to fight till the bitter end for a good deal on a new toy... Best advice, drive the extra 20 minutes to another dealership.

Hope this helps everyone,

And also... There is a reason this establishment is not part of the Better Business Bureau.

My boyfriend bought a 08 dr 650 and the extended 5 yr warantee from these guys The bike has always been serviced thru scmc and keep in mind the bike is LESS than 2 yrs old and well taken care of etc.... The 3rd gearblew out took it to the shop for repair only to find out the warantee is pretty much worthless because it will cost $5400 to rebuild the motor, $400 more than the cost of the bike and the warrantee only will pay $4000 and total out the bike...Suzuki knew of the issue with the gear and even changed the part #, and even though SCMC is an authorized suzuki service shop and dealer they say there isw nothing they can do....YES THERE IS...DONT BE SO GREEDY...WE ALL KNOW THERE ARE MORE COST EFFECTIVE WAYS, GOOD BOLTS DO NOT HAVE TO BE BRAND NEW, IM JUST A GIRL AND EVEN I KNOW BETTER!!! Rumor has it that when the owner was still Dick Allen that folks would come from miles to buy their bikes from him and his crew He was trusted and honest with sales and service and didnt start fast talking you when it came to warrantees...Gone to Hell since that new guy took over ...

I have never had a problem shopping at Santa Clarita Motorsports. I find their prices very reasonable and their employees seem to know what they are talking about. They are always helpful when I go in to get parts and accessories for my bike. I also get my bikes serviced at their service department. Have never had a problem.

for the last post by Barry B who is upset about his Rhino. I think you forgot to put a few important points in your review of Santa Clarita Motorsports.

Yes it was no rocket science to see that your axle was dangling from below but the dealership has to see what else was wrong with the vehicle, they also have to diagnose what caused the problem in the first place.

It took the service dept 2 weeks to get back to you because, you wanted your warranty to cover the damages. As explained to you before, after diagnosing the problem the warranty company has to be notified. The warranty company then sends a representative to the dealership to double check the claim. This took about two weeks. It is not the dealerships fault that the warranty company took over a week to come to the dealership.

As for the axle not being in stock, it is not a part that any dealership carries in stock. Infact several dealers were contacted and no one had it in stock. We then called Yamaha Motor Corporation and they were the ones who said they have to order it from Japan. The dealership told you that because, they thought you would like to know the truth. Why don't you try to contact Yamaha Motor Corporation yourself and ask them for yourself.

You were charged $112.50 for diagnostics because you didn't believe the dealership when they told you that the part really was coming from japan. You decided to take your Rhino elsewhere to get it fixed. This is the reason you were charged. If you would have left it with the dealership for the repair your warranty covers the $112.50 for diagnostics.

Also, if I remember correctly when you called your insurance to inform them that you were going to take your Rhino to another dealership, your warranty company told you that no matter which dearlship you take it to, they are not going to have the part in stock and that Santa Clarita Motorsports was probably telling you the truth when they said the part was coming from Japan.

In 2007, I purchased a yamaha rhino from this store along with the extended warranty, When i had a machanical problem, i took it there, They charged me $112.50 for diagnostics even though you can see for yourself the trans axle dangling below, No rocket science there, It took the service dept 2 weeks to see this problem, They now tell me it will be an additional 3 weeks before they can get my part in because it has to come from japan, UN BELIEVEABLE.

I spent over $400 to have my bike completely serviced for sale in December. Since I didn't have an immediate buyer their service person Chris told me I could keep it there and put a For Sale flyer on their board. He told me he would make sure it was kept in running. I checked with him over a 9 month period by phone and visiting the shop to see if anyone had been interested and to make sure it was still ok to keep the bike there. He said it was no problem.

If I could do a minus star I would. To rate with one star is giving too much.

When I decided to bring it home. It wouldn't start which meant they had not been running it on a regular basis and it would cost me another $200.00 to fix it. They would not give me a break at all nor take responsibility for what they had promised.

When I first had it repaired they kept calling and jacking up the price of repairs as they kept finding things wrong with it even after they had the whole thing apart. The repairs started out at a little over $200 and wound up over $400 not including the additional $225.00 to get it fixed and out the door this time.

I would never recommend or have anything to do with these people ever again.

In 2005 I bought a Rhino and Rincon, from another store, they were so pompous and full of...i didn't want to deal with them. I have take my Rhino for warranty work and they seem okay. I was told they are under a new owner and will give them another try, The Service Dept only. I already bought a Rhino, Rincon, Polaris, Harley and KLX, but not from them.

This is regarding the service center only. I took my bike in to have a coolant leak investigated and also took them up on their $100 race prep. Since I needed tires and chain/sprocket I decided to let them do that too. The desk guy was courteous and attentive. Weeks later I got my back (apparently they order parts, look at your bike after they get the parts, then diagnose and find they need more parts). $100 to change chain/sprocket. $75 to install tires I purchased from them. $200 to change water pump seals. Insanely steep prices. Even worse, my water pump leaked on my next ride. Took my bike to an independent mechanic and we pulled the seal carrier. It was rusted and corroded and the shaft was very dirty. They apparently only put in two new o-rings and they were installed in the wrong slots which explained the leak. We cleaned the shaft and installed all new parts in 15 minutes with $30 worth of parts. Needless to say I will not be going back to Santa Clarita Motorsports.
