I actually went to this lounge at night. I enjoyed the atmosphere and we did not have to wait long to enter. It almost had like a club atmosphere with a DJ who played anything from the Top 40 to Spanish Rock. The people were a good crowd just having a good time. We also ended up parking not to far down the road in a safe parking structure.

Vive is small but cozy. It has tables to dine and wine. Then it turns into a little night club. The waitresses are dressed very sexy so dress to impress!

what a disappointment this restaraunt turned out to be. the food lacked any originality and the taste was impaired. anyone going here looking for authentic or at least somewhat tasteful food will leave hungry and disappointed. the executive chef failed to capture the essence of exotic food. there was no latin asian fusion because each food was segregated in taste and idea. the service was good but that is about all that is memorable about this place. oh and the mojitos are good but even after three, the food still tastes atrocious. no one should subject themselves to this food even if this was the last place on earth. go somewhere with heart, soul, and flavor.

Pros: mojitos, maybe after you drink five you will forget why the food tastes awful

Cons: tasteless food, worst food i ever had, homeless people could create better flavors

WE WENT TO VIVE FOR DINNER FOR MY GIRLFRIENDS SISTER BIRTHDAY PARTY.WE SAT THERE FOR OVER AN HOUR BEFORE WE EVEN GOT A DINNER MENU,THEN WHEN WE DID GET THE MENU OUR WAITRESS FORGOT ALL ABOUT US AND THE MANAGER HAD TO GET THE BARTENDER TO TAKE OUR DINNER ORDERS WHICH CAUSED EVEN MORE CONFUSION WHEN IT CAME TIME TO PAY! I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT THE SALSA BAND THERE IS EXCELLENT AS WELL AS THE DANCING ENVIROMENT.MAYBE THEY NEED TO HIRE MORE PEOPLE TO MAKE THINGS RUN SMOOTHER!

Pros: GREAT SALSA DANCING

Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE

a great friend of mine was there a while ago for a mixer and burned her leg while sitting at the bar. apparently the light under the bar burned her leg, causing a second degree burn! when my friend confronted the owners, let me tell you, their "friendly" attitude changed instantly. rather they became defensive and uncompromisable. i warn you to think twice about going to this place, let alone sitting at the bar!!!!! take your money elsewhere.....

Pros: pretty place

Cons: management can go you know where, everything is over priced, not worth the drive, thumbs all the way down

When we first walked in I hesitated because the floor was so dirty - well, it turns out it's actually a dance floor. We went for an early dinner at 6:30, and we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. We asked when the place would pick up and the waitress said it was really a night club. The only reason we went in was because the menu outside said it was still happy hour - the happy hour list has about five $10 meals - otherwise it has a VERY short menu of $20-$30 entrees. I had an appetizer of chicken empanadas - they were wonderful - and my husband had asian/cuban fusion beef ribs from the happy hour menu. The happy hour drinks consist of a $4 mojito and $5 beers. We enjoyed our time but wouldn't go back for dinner because there's nothing else on the menu I'm interested in. We plan to go back for the salsa night on Sundays that the waitress told us about though. This place doesn't even feel like a restaurant.

Pros: Probably a good night club after 9pm.

Cons: Not a good dinner choice, not romantic, floors are not clean.

The food (latin-asian fusion) is tasty but overpriced. Every Sunday night there is a salsa band and some great dancing (even for inexperienced dancers like me). The last time I was there for salsa night, I ordered a glass of water from the bar and the guy wanted to charge me $2.00 for it. MInd you, this was a glass of regular tap water! I thought it was a joke, but the bartender was serious (I ended up refusing the glass of water). Beware!!!

Pros: food is tasty

Cons: don't expect to have a quiet dinner during band night. Also, expect to pay $2.00 at the bar for a glass of tap water.

The food is Cuban/Asian fusion, which makes for an interesting (read: spicy) taste, and the decor follows suit. There are cusiony couches in the lounge near the bar, and that's where things get a little sticky. If you're having dinner in that area, you may find yourself alarmed as you watch your server bravely navigate the bar traffic while balancing your food and drinks on a hefty tray. Worry not! There are bouncers available to clear a path. The service was fast and friendly and the bartenders are very conversational. Nice place to hang out with a date or watch the game with friends.

Pros: Good food in a nice atmosphere

Cons: After a certain hour, it turns into a hot nightspot and the buzz could spoil your once quiet evening

This place is nice and quiet with a wonderful atmosphere. The dinner menu is quite good, but a little expensive. I would recommend coming in for lunch. The have great lunch specials for about 7 bucks. I've always been seated quickly, but it seems to take a while for the food to come out.

Great restaurant in Old Town Pasadena that seems to have plenty of space and is not too crowded. The interior is quite nice and the food never disappoints. They are one of those rare restaurants that do great things with pumpkin in their veggie dishes.

PROS: Excellent pumpkin dishes

I've been to Nonya three times - twice for lunch, once for dinner. One was with friend, one with family (including kids) and one was an office function. Each time the service and food were impeccable, and everyone cleared their plates. The food is a mixture of Chinese and Malaysian cuisine, so it's slightly spicy and tangy - very unique, and incredibly yummy. If I could give this 4.5 stars, I would.

Been here for lunch, and they have pretty good specials. You can choose the crispy duck salad (normally a pricey dish in itself) with your meal, and it's very tasty. The ambience is nice as well.

I like the ambiance of this place. Their service is attentive and their lunch specials are great. You get the choice of one appetizer or salad plus an entree for $10. Not bad considering the selection they give you. Try their crispy duck salad.

I highly recommend this restaurant for both a business meeting or a relaxing lunch with friends. The atmosphere is relaxing; you can talk without having to hear the conversation at the next table. The decor is attractive and subtle. The entrees, especially the soups, are delicious and filling. Both vegetarians and non-vegetarians will find an appealing entree at this restaurant. Reservations are not needed for lunch unless for a party of 6 or more.

I really like this place - good food, cool classy decor, good service, and not too crowded. It's off the main drag (Colorado Blvd), so it still seems to be a bit of a hidden gym. Their food is sort of an Asian-California fusion. I love their Peking duck - delicious. The decor is a modern Asian theme, and it just makes dinner more interesting (including a fountain when you walk in). I have never had to wait for a table. Great place to take a date.
