Santa Monica misses Gallegos, but it's worth the drive for their chorizo. They have all you can think of when you're making Mexican food. I've ordered their masa for tamales and it's first class. Family run business that I hopes continues with the same standard for generations to come.

This is where you want to go for some real authentic homemade Mexican food. I love the spicy chicken verd meat plate with rice and beans. I also love their burritos very big and filled to the max. SO delicious! Around $8 a plate there and it comes with homemade chips.

The food here is top-notch! Over the counter service with great burritos and enchiladas - home made chips and salsa. Thursdays they have a seafood burrito and they have great breakfast specials. Mini banana cream pies are awesome. I also like the chili verde spicy sauce with chicken or pork. For any west side resident this is a must.

Super clean and friendly. Family owned (they used to have the Gallegos deli on Broadway in Santa Monica for years and years). PUMPKIN TAMALES (in season)! Fresh tamales and chips every day. Generous servings, very reasonably priced breakfast and lunch, complete with salsa bar including the carrots & onions. In a minimall next to Subway's.
