2 Stars: Banfield: poor service, expensive tests (by Dissapointed D.)

I only went to Banfield instead of my regular vet because it was after 5:30pm. The Banfield Vet did not come back and explain the results after they completed the expensive tests. Instead he sent the nurse who could not answer all of my questions and then seemed afraid to go back and ask the doctor for the ones he could not answer.
I did have a coupon which saved about $100. Some of the receptionist staff are really friendly but the overall flow of care did not seem coordinated. I will not follow up with them and will instead stick to my regular vet.

1 Stars: Don't waste your money!! (by Amber B.)

Ok, we have been going here for the last 9 months and they have done nothing for our dog, other than attempting to charge us with all kinds of tests. We know after taking some medication they prescribed that our dog has an allergy (either to fleas or our rabbit or both), however, they want to charge us $800 to peform an allergy test and bloodwork, instead of just prescribing the medicine because they must diagnose for certain. They want to do a liver test in order to also prescribe medicine that our friends dog is on for his allergies and his vet said nothing about doing any of these tests, yet Banfield refuses unless you pay. They are only there to make money. They don't seem to really care about the welfare of the dog, so my dog is going to suffer for a few days more until I can see a real vet. I just thought that Banfield would be lower in costs, but I was very wrong...they will get you with their push on flea meds and other diagnostics, when sometimes it is very obvious what is wrong and that stuff just isn't needed.

3 Stars: Just OK (by Lauren J.)

I have had my dog on a Banfield Wellness Plan for about two years now. I have lived in three different cities and used Banfield in all of them. This isn't the worst I've seen, but it's definitely not the best. They are always very busy and the desk staff seem to get flustered pretty easily. They are not the best at taking time with you and explaining things. No one has ever been rude, but they don't go above and beyond to be nice. Luckily my dog is generally healthy so we're not in there much except for routine vaccinations. I'm considering switching to La Jolla.

4 Stars: You can trust them to take good care of your pet (by Paula K.)

We have a siberian husky and she can be very shy and antsy around new people but they were very friendly with her here and tried very hard to make her feel comfortable with them before they took her away from us to be taken care of. The prices are reasonable and they do their best to get things done quickly. I would take my pet back here if needed.

PROS: Caring staff
CONS: Can be busy

4 Stars: Grooming (by Alana T.)

The Banfield Pet Hospital is inside of Petsmart stores. I have a cat who hates to have her nails trimmed. I travel to this PetSmart location and they get the job done in just about under a minute. And they only charge $5. The staff is all very friendly. I have also had her get some vaccines from here as well. They are all very comfortable around animals and explain everything to you before they do it. You will know all costs up front which is nice. Recommened. And if you have to wait since you are in Petsmart it's easy and convienent to look around the store and pick up those much needed pet items.

4 Stars: Nice people working there (by Albert Joe L.)

This hospital is the best. When my housemates have dogs and they got sick, they brought their dogs to this hospital and the people took care the dog like their own. They are able to calm the dog down when the doctor were going to give a shot. I totally recommend this place if your pet is sick.
