.

I had a filling come loose which had been placed by Dr. James Sean Brodfuehrer, DDS of Mesa Dental Group initially. I thought that since he had been the one to do the work on the tooth in the first place, regardless of the fact that my first visit experience was beyond awful, I still foolishly called to schedule an appointment with him to have it fixed. It was driving me nuts!

Here is where the fun began. I showed up about 5 minutes early for my appointment. It was apparent they hadn't cleaned anything since the last time I was there - and it was dirty then! I was rudely "greeted" by a woman who huffed about how busy they were and how I should sit down and be patient. I did so for nearly an hour before someone called me back!

Dr. Brodfuehrer had a hygienist deal with me at first even after I specifically requested him. Maybe he was embarrassed about his terrible work?

Eventually, after my 3rd request, the hygienist managed to tear him away from hiding in his office doing God know's what in order to take a look at the damaged dental work he'd provided. He asked me a few questions about my habits - do I smoke, do I chew gum - what kind, does my family have a history of thin enamel, etc. I answered them all and he used me responses to blame the loose filling on me!! When it came loose only weeks after it had been put there! I take excellent care of my teeth and this was my first-ever cavity!

Anyway, so, even though I was furious at this point, I just wanted it fixed. He poked around at it with metal instruments causing my eyes to water from the pain and digging at it as if he was trying to remove it completely without providing any numbing agent.

He then said that they were busy that day due to an "emergency" that had come in earlier and that all they could do for me was give me a prescription for ibuprofen until they could take the time to fix it. I was escorted to the front desk FOR PAYMENT! They demanded that I owe $128!! For WHAT?

I was asked when I would like to make my appointment to have the filling re-done and they said that appointments were filled for the next 2 months because the doctors were taking vacations.

Talk about a disorganized mess! I left with a pain in my jaw, wishing I'd never heard of this place! I have read so many other awful reviews since then. I wish I had done more research. Do NOT go to Mesa Dental Group unless you're a masochist.
