I have not been there for a year but I used to go there at least once month for about three years. Today, I was ripped off totally by the waitress who probably the owner/chef's wife.\r
We have 3 persons including my 3 years old daughter.

I made reservations at this restaurant on a Friday night at 9pm, I showed up at 845pm and ended up getting seated at 9:50pm. Mind you yes they were busy, but there were several people that walked in and got seated right away or within 15

Got sat at the counter in front of the grill. We waited over 10 minutes to place a drink order, then when the waitress finally gets around to take our food order, she gets interrupted by another customer directly to our right to order more

Cons: poor service, Extremely rude hostess/ waiter

Regardless of decent taste of food, weird location and okay service, it seems they innocently make too many mistake on the bill. I wouldn't say this if my last visit to that place was the first one. They tries to innocently made a mistake

Yakitoriya is a typical yakitori restaurant. The size is pretty small so there is a wait during busy hours. The yakitori is good but the selection is pretty small (much smaller than shinsengumi). The prices are also high for the portions.

The food is great here, but it does take a while for it to be cooked, considering there is only one person cooking it. The prices can add up, and get quite pricey. I believe that the food is totally worth the price though. Their Soboro Bento and Yaki Onigiri are so delicious! I think it's their best rice dishes that they have. Their selection of skewers are very large, therefore it makes me very happy.

Parking can be a little annoying, but once you find it, totally worth it!

This is one of my faves. Service is always awesome, even if they "f" up a little, they always make us happy and make it right. One of the best in town.

I'd driven by this place for a couple years now and finally decided to give it a try. The chicken breasts were dry and dappled with wasabi--which was interesting but it needed something else. The chicken teriyaki was decent. I got the duck

Pros: not bad

Cons: not great

The menu was limited and what was available wasn't impressive. After ordering, the waitress informed me that I had to order at least 5 skewers even though I had order an expensive side and 2 skewers. I told the waitress I did not want to

I think the nature of Japanese skewer restaurants tends to make your eating experience into a slow torture. They have one skewer chef here, so if the place is packed, try another place, or have fun eating 5 sticks of bite sized food over a period of an hour and a half or more. It's definitely tasty, but you better be patient. Order a large Soboro (minced chicken rice) to tide you over while you wait. If the place is fairly empty, it can be a great experience.

PROS: good food
CONS: slow torture
