Two Guys fro Italy has been like a part of our family for many years.
We came upon them in N.Ho in the late 70's early 80's. They closed and we found the one in G.H and have ate there ever since.
The food is great.. Chicken Franchasse, Spaghetti, Pizza, garlic bread ... its all great! The dinner's are very reasonably priced around $12+ depending on what you order.
That price include soup or salad, your dinner, bread and desert ..
Atmosphere is enjoyable... You can relax , be yourself .
I recommend them to anyone who wants to be real and not out looking to cut costs or an intimate quiet dinner..
Owner will greet & seat you make you feel welcome..

I love this Italian restaurant! Since my time in Italy I have been very skeptical about italian restaurants and this one brings back the memories. The tortolleni dishes are out of this world. The portions are extremely generous and the service is like family. I recommend ordering the dinner packages because you get bread, a very large salad, a main course, and a delicious gelato dessert. To top it off the prices are very accommodating for those on a budget. You will have leftovers that will taste better the next day...need I say more.

To those "old fogeys" who still remember great L.A. area eateries like Bellevue, The Sea Lion, Mediterrania, Zucky's Deli, Bob Burns and La Barbera's, TAKE HEART! A few of the traditional places are still alive and doing well, Thank You.

One such classic place is Two Guys From Italy, at San Fernando Mission Blvd. and Balboa, in Granada Hills. The ambience is straight out the the late 1950's-early 1960's, and Vito still greets and regales patrons with humorous stories and one-liners during the meal.

All my favorite classic Veal and Chicken items are on the menu, and the food preparation creates one of the more nostalgic dining experiences of recent memory.

To Hell with all this New Age and Nouvelle Crap! I grew up in an age when diners demanded, and got, honest, down-home style ethnic cuisine, and that's what Two Guys From Italy serves up 7 days a week! Mangia Paesans!!

PROS: Ultimate Italian "comfort food" served, which is getting hard to find.
CONS: Not for the "New Age" devotees of rabbit food and fancy-schmancy nouvelle!

We were glad we had coupons, so we didn't overpay for the meal. Food was good, not spectacular, but we liked everything (garlic toast especially). Place is a bit on the loud side, as there were quite a few people there. Waitstaff were friendly and I think we even saw "the two guys" ;-)

Maybe I have gotten too used to California-stlye Italian food, but this older style of Italian food just doesn't do it for me. They pretty much stick to the classics i.e. pizza, spaghetti and antipasto. Forget trying to get a healthier, more complex salad or a rarer pasta like gnocchi. The pizza is almost always soggy, though the BBQ on the pizza is excellent. The pasta is very average, nothing special about the quality. They fail to offer exciting toppings for the pizza- the BBQ is about as exotic as it comes. The environment is very old-world pizzeria.

My wife and I love dining at Two Guys in GH. The portions are generous and the food is pretty good. The restaurant has alot of character and it really feels like a family owned place... unlike (I dare say it) Olive Garden. Ask for the waiter who tells jokes... he is geat!
