Chef Marilyn's Place has the best Soul Food in Los Angeles. Although it's a hole-in-the-wall and there is only one table available inside, it's definitely worth the trip. Her mac and cheese is so unbelievably creamy and the deep fried catfish is to die for! It's always great to top your meal off with some collards and her mash potatos with a choice of 3 gravies! Aside from the taste, Chef Marilyn's is very light on the wallet. It's takeout buffet style. Also if you are crazy for cobbler this is your place! This is not for those who are on a diet, have high cholesterol! Just walking in the door you'll gain 5 pounds...
