Cafe Allegro is excellent
by Audrey L.
We have always enjoyed the food at Cafe Allegro. Recently we discovered the half-priced wine special on Mondays, so make that a "date" night.
It's true that the rooms are small and noisy, but you can eat outside where it is quieter. We enjoy getting acquinted with the waitresses and being recognized by them.
The Tuscan Bean Salad, Capellini with salmon and the Scampi are among our favorite dishes.
All in all, it is one of the nicer places to eat in La Verne.

Cafe Allegro is the best food in La Verne
by Gabriella R.
This is absolutely the best food in La Verne. The service is good, friendly, and always accommodating. Its an excellent date place, anniversary, or just a simple night out. I love it. Can't beat their specials either - half-off bottled wines on Mondays!! I tell my husband that is the only place I want to go.

Too cozy
by Anonymous
Restaurant is very small and the one blond waitress who served us was 'too friendly'. She would probably be better suited to Hooters. The food was good, but if the restaurant is busy as it was when we were there, the service is slow.

Good Italian Food

Cute little romantic place with great Italian food. The place can get quite loud since it is so small. Since they don't take reservations and the bar is much too small to congregate while you wait for a table, you have to hang out on the streets while watching patrons on the patio area eat. It can get a bit pricey, but the food is good and plenty of it. I love their chicken parmesan with asparagus and served on the a bed of pasta. Everything that I've tried has not disappointed. Bon Appetite!

I have heard so much about this restaurant I thought it would be out of this world. I think it was a bit overrated. I dont remember what I had, but I do remember it was just ok. A bit on the expensive side and thats ok, but I expected more.

This restaurant is one of my favorites. They have some really good italian food. Their chicken marsala is to die for!
Their food is moderately priced. In my opinion they're slightly more on the expensive side, but they're definitely worth it.
The ambiance of the place is really great. Very good place to take a date, it can get a little loud when it's crowded because the place isn't too huge over all.
It's located on an isolated street, so you don't hear many cars when you're sitting outside.
PROS: Great food, fairly priced. Ambiance is very pleasant. It's a good place to take a date for a romantic evening.
Service is very good.
CONS: A little too small, can get a little loud, and/or crammed with the waitresses runnin' around you.
