I was excited to check out Pearl City Seafood...however, I think I came a little too late. Meaning that I heard it was very different when Michael Cimarusti was the chef. Either the recession is hitting these high end restaurants in downtown, or the food has gotten worse. The restaurant was empty and there seemed to be energy by anyone working there.
The waitstaff were rude and at times made me feel like an idiot. The Oysters were decent, but not as awesome as I would expect at a seafood restaurant.I would say to do the fixed price menu if it's available. The options are pretty good, and a way to taste some of their dishes without breaking the bank. The highlight was my starter, the clam chowder. The soup was the bomb, but a bit overpriced. The chowder was available on the fixed price menu, but is a cup and not a bowl like my photo shows.
