Spot

My family and i can't keep our hands off this place. Macaroni and Cheese is a phenomenal family favorite and so is the French Onion Soup; I'm just getting started.
Service is awesome, and the waiters are so friendly and happy. The prices are decent; a burger dish, plus a macaroni dish, plus a french onion soup comes out to around 30 dollars.
But this place is classic, and a great place to be.

The Spot has been in la Jolla forever. it is a fun place for a drink if with a bunch of friends. Great margaritas.Go early if with kids, before it gets too busy. It can get loud also. Burgers are good, but there is a good variety of other American food.
Parking is a pain!

The decor is nothing special, but the food (American) is fine to good. A very casual atmosphere, it appeals to locals and tourists. The parking on Prospect is a drag, and watch out for the parking police who love to give tickets. The hours of this place are long, so you can get a late meal after a Padres game.

This might not be for your younger kids, but definitly for adults and teens. This place is the sport type bar but with a respectible atmoshpere. The experience is always good and their burgers are the best.

Another La Jolla "must see". Located right along the beach, with a menu of everything you can think of. Great for families, dates, weekend "out on the town". The service is prompt, the mood is fun with great music. It is open late, which is always hard to find in La Jolla. So next time you don't know what to do in those late hours and want to grab a bite, try the spot!
