Customer Service Was Laughable

Crossroads Trading CO
I had an experience that was a carbon copy of the one Jean Marie M had.
After stumbling upon the Crossroads website, I thought it would be the perfect place to get rid of some of the clothes I had outgrown and make some room for some new clothes. I called to see what kind of clothing they were currently accepting, since websites tend to be outdated and not current. The girl I spoke with, mumbled a list, sounding like her attention was elsewhere. Instead of asking her to repeat the mumbled list, I started to list the brand names that I had. She flatly stated that they only wanted "high end clothing that was 4 months or less old". Apparently, Ann Taylor is too conservative for them, and Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren aren't "high end" enough for them.
Considering that the website advertises that they accept anything from "The Gap to Gucci", I would have to say they are guilty of gross misrepresentation at the very least. And the bubble gum snapping, "high school sophomore staff" needed a lesson or two in basic customer service etiquette, just for starters.
Thankfully, I didn't have to waste my time going to this store, to see that it was an absolute "thumbs down".
CONS: Rude, condescending "worker's permit level" staff. "Bait and switch" advertising tactics.
PROS: Never had the opportunity to make it past the "CONS"
Cross this off your list folks....
