      <title>1 Stars:  COUNTRY WOOD FURNITURE, MIKE WILSON, HORRIBLE COMPANY, HORRIBLE PEOPLE! (by Laura C.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;I read a recent review from Tina in Santa Clara on ripoffreport.com and OMG, 
&lt;br /&gt;I had the very same experience that she had with Country Wood Furnture in 
&lt;br /&gt;San Jose! And now I find all these other reviews and I can't believe I went there
&lt;br /&gt;before reading all of this. They have such horrible customer service, from the 
&lt;br /&gt;top down. Mike Wilson, the owner, is such a rude and obnoxious and horrible man. 
&lt;br /&gt;And Henrietta is no better.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I bought a dresser and desk to upgrade my teenage son's room and the buying 
&lt;br /&gt;process was actually an ok experience. But then it went to Hell after they 
&lt;br /&gt;took my money! They stood me up for my delivery which I even confirmed two 
&lt;br /&gt;days prior. Right before my deliver window was over, I called, and Nathan, the 
&lt;br /&gt;Sales Guy was alone and had no clue how to deal with a delivery problem. He
&lt;br /&gt;hung up on me when I asked if he could call the driver and see if they could
&lt;br /&gt;deliver it while I am still home, and he hung up on me! &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I then called back and suddenly the manager was in, Henrietta, and she was 
&lt;br /&gt;so condescending. I questioned why they didn't deliver my furniture and she 
&lt;br /&gt;had every excuse. She said one of the drivers didn't show up that day for work. 
&lt;br /&gt;So I asked why they couldn't have called me in advance to modify my delivery 
&lt;br /&gt;schedule. She had no answer for this. I was frustrated at this point since I left 
&lt;br /&gt;work just for this delivery and they stood me up and then Nathan hangs up on 
&lt;br /&gt;me when I am just trying to get my furniture. She was inconsiderate with my 
&lt;br /&gt;frustration but did propose a couple other time slots later that day. So I agreed 
&lt;br /&gt;to 5PM. She then made sure to tell me not to blame the delivery guys when they 
&lt;br /&gt;come over. I assured her that wouldn't happen since all of this was management's 
&lt;br /&gt;fault, not the delivery driver.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;OMG, I didn't know the delivery guy was going to be Mike Wilson, the owner from 
&lt;br /&gt;HELL!  Immediately from the start, you could see Mike had a major attitude with 
&lt;br /&gt;me. What the heck did Henrietta tell him? I didn't even say anything to him yet,
&lt;br /&gt;I was polite, didn't say much at all, but I did want to inspect my furniture before
&lt;br /&gt;they moved it in the house. With each little comment I made through my inspection, 
&lt;br /&gt;Mike reacted with a quick rude comment back. After a few of those reactions, 
&lt;br /&gt;I said &amp;quot;you think you could be a little friendlier?&amp;quot; He immediately blew up at me 
&lt;br /&gt;and started to push himself into my house to remove one of the two furniture items 
&lt;br /&gt;he just moved in. I insisted he leave the furniture there and I managed to stop him 
&lt;br /&gt;from storming back into my home. He then said to me &amp;quot;if only you didn't say anything,
&lt;br /&gt;just shut your f_n mouth&amp;quot;. Then he said &amp;quot;that's why there's no man in your life&amp;quot;. OMG 
&lt;br /&gt;again, how rude and obnoxious can anyone be with a customer that just spent almost 
&lt;br /&gt;$1000 in their store! On the way out, Mike said sarcastically to my son, &amp;quot;good luck son&amp;quot;. 
&lt;br /&gt;My son wanted so much to say something back to this man with every rude comment 
&lt;br /&gt;he made but he was afraid they would do something nasty. That's how horrible their 
&lt;br /&gt;service was, right there in front of my kid who was getting all this furniture from them.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I so wanted to throw this furniture back in their face and not give them my business 
&lt;br /&gt;but the only reason I didn't is because my son spent hours already picking it out 
&lt;br /&gt;and his room was empty and waiting for the new furniture. He really wanted to keep it. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;After they were gone, I was able to inspect the furniture more closely and found
&lt;br /&gt;one of the 5 drawers in my finished wood dresser is unfinished! Now I have a 
&lt;br /&gt;drawer that I have to deal with them again? Ugh! I called and spoke to Henrietta 
&lt;br /&gt;that evening and I told her about the problem and she said &amp;quot;didn't you inspect it 
&lt;br /&gt;before they installed it? I told her I TRIED BUT THEY WERE SO RUDE THAT IT 
&lt;br /&gt;WAS HARD TO DO! I then told her all the rude things Mike said to me and she 
&lt;br /&gt;had the nerve to say to me &amp;quot;you're one of those people who have what we call 
&lt;br /&gt;diarrhea of the mouth!&amp;quot;  WHOA!  That's where I fricken draw the line. That is so 
&lt;br /&gt;not right to treat someone this way! I am with anyone who wants to stand outside
&lt;br /&gt;their store with picket signs or anyone who wants to take action against them. 
&lt;br /&gt;They need to be put out of business now!&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  Country Wood Furniture is Horrible (by skylar k.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;My Fiance and I went there and werent greated once while in the store. The store was small and the furniture was tacky, all of the furniture had knicks in the wood, which suggests to me that it had been used or poorly taken care of. The owner is a lazy and terrible salesmen, just because my Fiance and I look young he completely ignored us even when I looked over at him when I had a question he looked at me and looked away going back to reading the paper. IF YOU OWN A BUSINESS PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!! I wouldnt go back to that store if they paid me.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  Crazy Wood Furniture (by LuAnn C.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;These people are the worst on God's green earth. I bought my sister a jewelry armoire for Christmas in October. When it finally arrived, after the royal jerking they always dole out, they placed it in my car. I didn't notice the leg was defective. When I attempted to get it replaced, let the jerking begin. Finally got a new armoire in March. Then, not thinking clearly, my sister went to get two television stands...again they are SO HELPFUL until they get your money. They arrived approximately four weeks after the promised date. When she got them home, one of them is hopelessly damaged. She called the store and the guy that answered told her to bring it back. She explained that she could not bring it back and he went psycho on her and hung up. Then he tied up the telephone lines so she could not call back. Finally...and I have advice for anyone who does business with these idiots...she had paid with her American Express card and guess what, they don't take crap. She disputed the charges and THEN the woman called...she left a message that she would call back later to resolve and we have not heard from her since. IMPORTANT WARNING - always pay with American Express if you must do business with these loons...&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  OWNER SCREAMS AT 2 YEAR OLDS!      STAY AWAY!!!! (by Maren S.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;I would give this store NEGATIVE STARS! The owner SCREAMED &amp;quot;NO&amp;quot; REPEATEDLY at my 2 YEAR OLD, because he was opening and shutting some drawers while I was writing down model numbers from a catalog. He didn't ask nicely (which my son easily responds to), or even give me a chance to talk to my son first - although really, it's not like he was hurting anything. When the sales lady who originally helped me came over and asked and why son was crying, I said &amp;quot;he screamed &amp;quot;no&amp;quot; at my son and scared him.&amp;quot; (Terrified him really.) The owner overheard me and screamed at me &amp;quot;GET OUT OF MY STORE!&amp;quot;. When I commented he should let parents know if he was unhappy about something so they could discipline their own kids, he screamed &amp;quot;GET OUT OF MY STORE NOW!&amp;quot;
&lt;br /&gt;WOW! Never had a more horrible experience in a store in my life!!!&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  Insulted by owner (by Eva V.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;One star is way too many. How this person can still be in business is beyond me. Stepping into his store without reading the reviews here was one of the biggest mistakes our family has ever done. If I just copied and pasted all bad reviews this would exactly describe our experience with this creature. It all started when we realized some pieces from the furniture we ordered is badly manufactured and the assembly not possible. We called the store (at 10 am), the man on the
&lt;br /&gt;phone (later we found out it's the owner himself) said to send pictures of bad pieces and they would call us back.
&lt;br /&gt;They never did so we tried to contact them that same day four times hoping we could get our answer. In our last call (5 pm), after the man said he couldn't open the pictures and that we have to send him the pictures again, my husband told him he should have called us with this answer 7 hours ago.
&lt;br /&gt;The man started to be unbelievably rude, insulting my husband on many levels including, and I quote &amp;quot;Foreigners are destroying this country.&amp;quot;. After that the man hung up. So we decided to go to the store personally. When we said who we were, his first words were &amp;quot;Get out! Leave the store! Get out!&amp;quot; We refused trying to explain we need the furniture and we
&lt;br /&gt;just want to hear the steps he's going to take to solve the problem. He didn't let us finish one sentence,
&lt;br /&gt;he was sarcastic, verbally abusive and he threatened us with calling the police holding his cell phone pretending to
&lt;br /&gt;dial the deputy sheriff (he never called anyone even though I asked him to do it). The whole time I couldn't believe I'm talking to a grown-up man. He obviously has some serious issues and he should be under close psychiatric supervision. 
&lt;br /&gt;BEWARE
&lt;br /&gt;In the contract you are signing the furniture is NON-RETURNABLE. Once you put your money in their hands, you're doomed.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  Unbelievably bad (by Anonymous A.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;I bought furniture online through sanjosefurniture.com and it was delivered from countrywood furniture. I am not sure how the two businesses are related, but they are both unbelievably bad. The furniture was delivered damaged and missing parts. They did replace the parts, but it took a long time and they offered me a credit for the furniture which i never received. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;My dealings with both the man who runs sanjosefurniture.com and the woman at countrywood furniture were completely unacceptable. I was simply shocked. They lied to me and gave me the run around. I have to say, this was one of the worse customer experiences I have ever had. It simply amazed me that people can run businesses in this manner.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>1 Stars:  CWC Anger Management 1:0:1 (Customers get abused bigtime) (by Concerned C.)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;BUYER BEWARE. CONSUMER BEWARE. SHOPPER BEWARE. I went to Country Wood Furniture on an attemp to ask a simple question about a product that they have there and get some parts for a table. My first 2 seconds in the store should have told me something (perhaps maybe to leave). The owner/person behind the desk greeted me with a cold stone &amp;quot;yeah, what do you need, what do want?&amp;quot;. I proceeded to ask him (I believe his name was Mike and he is the CWF owner) a simple question about a wood product that I had seen there before, he went off the handle asking me the specifics of the item in a very agressive manner. Before I had a chance to finish my inquiry he started pulling the wood table catalogs off the shelf and telling me to look through the books with the &amp;quot;don't bother me attitude&amp;quot;. He was aggravated from the get-go for reasons I have no clue. He was belligerent, irate, impatient, rude beyond belief and is in need of some serious Prozac or something equal or greater. I simply requested to look around instead of thumbing through the catalogs because he was unable to comprehend a simple question. He then starts pacing and then shouts out &amp;quot;get out - just leave, you don't even know what you want!&amp;quot; and continues with &amp;quot;most people know what they are looking for before they enter a store!&amp;quot;.  I sort of laughed because I though he was joking, then I realized by the bulging artery pounding out of his head that he was fatally serious.  I asked him if he was serious and he blurted out &amp;quot;yes I am serious, go away, most people when they come in here know what they want and you are clueless&amp;quot;. Hmmmmm, ookay I suppose when you go into a store asking about the store's products, there is supposed to be this thing called Customer Service - this is clearly not evident at this establishment. Quality - there is none either, in fact the table that I purchased from them over a year ago had warped so badly that the top is askew and the legs teeter side to side based on the mis balance of the warp... I did not even get to mention this to him because he proceeded to call me names like idiot and freak as I was walking out.  I told him to *blankety blank* himself and he ran after me threatening me and yelling at me as I walked to my car. I thought he was going to hit me, in fact at one point I thought there had to be a hidden comic camera somewhere, because this was waaaay too bizarre for anything normal and that maybe I was being Punked ??? How can anyone like this have a business? One of the first things I did when I got online today was to check out the reviews for this place. Based on the poor reviews on InsiderPages and Yelp was CWF it's a wonder that he can run it and has not pissed off the wrong person.  I won't feel for him at all when he does because he will deserve it bigtime. If I can give a minus zero rating I would

&lt;br /&gt;Do they specialize in anything? BAD ATTITUDE

      <description>&lt;p&gt;If I could give less than 1 star I would.  I called to ask about an order and was treated worse than dirt.  These people are rude and completely inconsiderate to the customer.  I  have never been talked to or treated in such a way by a business person in my life.  Please avoid this store if at all possible, the furniture may look nice, but the people behind the furniture are truly poor business people.   I will never shop at this store again and I cancelled my order.   RUDE PEOPLE=POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!

      <description>&lt;p&gt;This was a great find!  My husband and I found the perfect dining room table set for an affordable price.  The delivery process was easy and we received our table in just a couple of business days.  Since then, Ive gone back to purchase some bedroom furniture.  We continue to enjoy the pieces that weve purchased at Country Wood.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
