Great place if you want your horses to loose weight as the quality of hay there is very questionable. Autumn says she feeds twice a day, but doubtful as to the fact that all of the horses there are pretty ribby and hippy. A more horse savey owner/manager would be great as well. And no, I'm not behind on my boarding fees nor ever was in fact. The fact is, just drive by and view the lack of horses in the vacant stalls and pastures to see that it is not a popular place and for good reasons.

Cons: Low quality soil for arenas, fencing inadequate and unsafe, muddy during the winter, low-quality feed, staff not knowledgeable in regards to horse nutrition, safety, or health.

I highly recommend Autumn Hill Equestrian. I've been at other facility, and this is clearly the best managed facility where horses are loved and cared for. I work full time and really like that all the horses are let out to play during the week. The stalls are clean, the water is fresh, the owner and the ranch hands and trainer are professionals and know horses. The best way to judge is to go look at the horses (mine if chubby), see how well they are taken care of and how friendly they are. Special attention is given to all. I won't go anywhere else. Check it out for your horse(s). Grace Farnese

Pros: Feeding and care of horses, riding facility, not too crowded, healthy horses

Cons: Can't really think of any.

When they don't fit in somewhere, they seem to always have the need to blame someone - anyone - whomever is most convienient when they were the problem in the first place, and just cannot seem to let it go and get on with their life, -- and let others do the same. Perhaps it's because they have so little that's positive in their life, I don't know. What I do know, though, is they're gone and they're glad... and so are the rest of us. BTW, I don't have to "pose" as one of my boarders to write posts because they're adult and mature enough to express their own opinions and to speak for themselves, and who take responsibility for their actions and who are willing to sign their name to their posts instead of hiding behind an unidentifiable keyboard, unlike our drama queens who just keep going on.. and on... and on. Have we had a bunch of drama lately? Oh, yeah -- but what barn doesn't at some point -- but the good news for the rest of us here at AHEC is that the folks who were creating it are no longer here.

So, if you're honestly looking for a stable where your horse's care comes first, consider this your open invitation to come out and visit the ranch. Talk to our very happy family of boarders. Take a good look at the condition of our horses. Judge the facts first-hand, instead of believing trash by someone who - quite simply - has nothing better in their life to do than talk smak about someone who's doing something they don't have the backbone to do, and who just can't seem to be happy in a small, content community but, instead, have a need to continually create problems for the people around them. But then, I guess that's the definition of a "drama queen," isn't it?

I'd enjoy talking to you in person and until then, thanks for stopping by and reading my reviews. Even the ridiculous ones. LOL Best regards -

There are so many better boarding facilities in the Sacramento area then AHE?. In the winter it gets very muddy and the horses are up to their eyes in mud, pp, and poo. The only thing good there is the arena is great in the winter and hard as a rock in the summer! The owner is all in your business and tells you and asks you what is best for your horse! On merchantcirclecom she erases the bad reviews and poses as her few boarders that she has and says how great it is! Don?t deal with drama! Stay away from postings like this on and stay to the ones that do not have any reviews on it!!! Less drama!

My name is Michael Sheely we board two horses at AHEC. We enjoy the facility, the horses are well cared for and the facility has everything you need. The dramas that is mentioned were caused by people who were asked to pay there board on time or pay there back board. I hope if someday the trainer does get a boarding facility. I hope their employees don't bad month them and steal there boarders. Now that the drama queens have left, peace and quiet once again has returned. So, for a place were the horses are taken care of , people have a great time ,come out and checkout AHEC.

Pros: Arena stays dry in the rain, large paddocks, great pastures

Cons: The weeds grow in the spring

ITS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE IN THE LONG RUN. TO CONTROLLING AND LOTS, LET ME REPHRASE, A WHOLE TON OF BARN DRAMA. HOWEVER THE TRAINER THERE IS GREAT, SHE SHOULD REALY HAVE HER OWN PLACE TO RUN AND MANAGE.
