This salon is awful!! The receptionist was VERY snooty and when I called to say I was running late I was notified that THEY CHARGE 50% FOR MISSED APPOINTMENTS!!!! My appointment was made less than 24 hours in advance so they weren't losing business from me and I had been informed when I made the appointment (the evening before) that their day was fairly open and I could have anytime after noon! Fortunately, i had not given them my credit card number the day before otherwise I would have been charged!
I was pretty unhappy with the customer service and unnecessary inflexibility but made another appointment because the location is so convenient. It must have been the same receptionist that took my call as she was very snooty again, made sure to get my credit card # , and disdainfully reminded me that this IS a confirmed appointment. Got it..
I got my hair done with Amber who had no interest in making any conversation and gave a sub-par head massage. She then charged an extra $20 for the same service I had gotten last time. Apparently, they don't feel the need to alert you that their prices for the same service fluctuate in between visits.
When I questioned her about the price increase, she defensively said she went outside of the partial highlight line to take care of some spots. Weird how you can just expand the service that was requested when you feel like making more money that day. Maybe let me know I can pay an extra $20 for the 10 extra strands you want to dab some color on!
Call me crazy, but when the website advertises highlights starting at $80, I don't assume that I'm going to get charged almost double that, nor do I assume that I'm going to have re-confirm the price in the middle of the job. I urge everyone else to stay away from the snooty receptionist and the her deceptive salon. You can find the same thing (if not better) elsewhere for a lot less hassle and dough!

I vote yes on Darcy. She is an amazing creature and consistently offers me stylish cuts and color. She actually listens and does not try to do the same thing over and over until suddenly you find yourself with "The Rachel" in 2008 wondering why you haven't had a date in a few years. The front desk staff can be a little too busy sometimes I'll admit, but I'm not holding that against the worker bees there. I have worked with several people there and they all listen well and take their customers and customer service seriously. Aveda products, nails, makeup, skincare too.

She actually listens and does not try to do the same thing over and over until suddenly you find yourself with "The Rachel" in 2008 wondering why you haven't had a date in a few years. I have worked with several people there and they all listen well and take their customers and customer service seriously. Aveda products, nails, makeup, skincare too.

Pros: they listen to their client's needs and offer stylish color and cut for all types

Dahlia gave me a great brazilian. She knows what she is doing! She has soft hands and is very gentle down there. I have had some horrible experiences with Brazilians in the city. I was nervous, but was very pleased with her. She made me feel very comfortable and used her soft touch to cause no pain. I like that uses a lot of oil after the wax for less bumps. I would highly recommend her to anyone getting a brazilian.

They took GREAT care of me and had my hair, skin, nails looking FABULOUS!
It was a very relaxing environment and helped keep me sane during the
hectic holiday season. I was even able to pick up some last minute gifts!(Every-
body loves Aveda:)) I would highly recommend this salon and can't wait to come
back!!!

This place really galls me; first, the make-up person attempted to charge me extra because we went over time - we did not actually go over time, though the hour we finished was later than expected due to her having started 30 minutes late and taking at least 5 phone calls from her mother during the course of the service. So I didn't go back for a long time. Then recently, I made an appointment for waxing, arrived on time, and waited. I waited 15 minutes when I figured out that the person doing the service was not even there; I said to the counter person, why would you make an appointment when the person who does the work isn't there? It was an outrageous waste of my time.
