paperback alley is amazing! I bring in my used books and get credit back all the time. Theirs a very wide variety selection of books to choose from.

PROS: inexpensive books
CONS: not as big as a place like borders might not have the specific book your looking for

I come here all the time to sell my used books. The owner is a really nice lady and we always talk abnout which books are the best and I recommend some to her that I'm bringing in.
The downside, I'm practically the only on who bring in the type books I like to read, so I can rarely get store credit to get more books. On occasion I'll find something I'm interested in.

PROS: Nice manager/owner
CONS: Not a large selection of chick lit (most are my books I brought in)

I've been going to Paperback Alley on and off for several years. It's a good (and easy) place to get lost in reading. There are lots of great used books on just about every subject you can think of. There are some chairs and stools around, so you can even sit down while your browse. The books are reasonably priced. If you have books you have read, you can bring them in and get credit for them, which is a nice way to get new books for even less money. I've done this several times with books that we've finished reading.

Plenty of books available at Paperback Alley for grownups and for kids.

Parking is in the back alley - appropriate for their name.

PROS: Reasonably-priced used books.
CONS: parking is a challenge.
