Well, I just took the dive and followed the reviews found here and on yelp...Marc was very friendly and laid back. He is also very thorough. My clutch had failed and he proceeded to check everything to make sure I wouldn't have to come back in a couple weeks. The price was surely reasonable as it was a big job. They also did extras like tighten loose bolts and put some gas in the tank. Truly happy to have found this shop. It reminds me of a mom/pops style store. Marc also did a great job of explaining everything in detail they had done. All my future needs will be serviced at this shop...

I have all 3 cars serviced by Blackrock, and I don't have any problems. Dave is friendly, honest, responsible and knowledgeable. The poster who lost parts should have mentioned something to Dave, as he would have replaced those parts if he knew about them. This is assuming those parts were lost by his shop to begin with!

The only thing you need to watch out for is that Dave's schedule is usually packed. Call ahead to see if he can fit your car in before driving there.

I recommend Black Rock auto for most auto repair and maintenance. I wish it also offers tire and alignment services.

Hello, I'm Dave, the lead mechaninc and owner of black rock auto. Michael B wrote a review which states we workes on his vw engine and lost parts. I have never met this person, nor worked on his engine and i think he has us mistaken with another shop. there are several shops close by, and we share our courtyard with another shop as well. If you like we'd be happy to provide an extensive list of people whose cars we have fixed and who are very happy with what we've done for them. thank you for your attention,

I have been taking my vehicles to David at Black rock for the last 6 years. I have had nothing but the best service. The only reason I vote 4 out of 5 is because it is a small shop and sometimes he gets really busy which could mean a longer wait. I think it is a plus and means he is doing a great job. He is always up front on cost and very helpful.

Took a vw engine in for my uncle. They took too long to diagnose and fix. They also lost or "misplaced" most of the engine parts. I wouldnt recomend based on what iv'e experienced but could be an isolated incident.

Black Rock has fixed my car several times in the past year, and I've never had any problems with their work. As a woman, I feel comfortable coming here, and don't fear that I'm being sold repairs that I don't need. The work is done quickly and competently in a friendly, down-home atmosphere.
