Burbank Pet Plaza

I hate to say it but I have to agree with the other negative comment on this store.
The girls who work there are horrible. They do not greet you when you walk in. You can overhear their gossipy conversation and you feel like you are interrupting them just to ask a question. The best part is seeing them EAT behind the counter!
Where is the owner? I wonder what they would think if they knew how badly their customers are being treated. Or maybe they know and just dont care. Its hard to believe that someone wouldnt know what is actually going on in their own store. We only shop here because its so close to our home, so its really by default that we give them any money. Please if the owner/manager reads this DO SOMETHING!

Great Store!! Animals are well taken care of. Staff is helpful. Most of the time they have what you need...but if not they are willing to get it for you. They sell flea and tick treatment at a great price. Call before to see if it is in stock. The price is so low it sells out very fast. I take my dog there for her vaccinations too. The shot prices are much lower at burbank pet plaza then my vet. Overall this store is great!

I have looked at many pet stores in the burbank and surrounding areas and I have to say Burbank Pet Plaza is the cleanest! They take wonderful care of their animals in the store. I also learned that they support the Burbank Animal Shelter. Help put the local mom and pop stores!!

I read the previous negative review and I must say I strongly disagree!! Burbank Pet Plaza is the best place to buy all your pet products. The staff is full of knowledge and helpful hints. I have been shopping at Burbank Pet Plaza for more than 5 years and am 100% satisfied. They have won the spot of best pet store in Burbank several years in a row which is voted on by the community in the Burbank Leader. I would highly recommend you shop at this store. The carry the best products and has a low cost vaccination clinic certain days of the month. Check it out and you will see what I am talking about!!!

I always try to suppot local independent pet stores (instead of giong to Petco or Petsmart). Because Burbank Pet Plaza is the closest to me, I've been going there to give them my business. But going to this store is plain SILLY.
When you walk in, first thing you hear are the girls behind the register passing time by talking and gossiping to each other, sometime about customers, their personal life, or other people. They rarely greet or aknowledge the customers that walk in. AND THEY NEVER ASK IF THEY CAN HELP YOU WITH ANYTHING. And I wonder why there are always four people working at the same time, all standing behind the counter or hiding in the back? These teenage girls look like they really don't care to be there. The mood in the store is always one of apathy, No smiles, no friendliness, just stares. I could only imagine how the poor animals are neglected at this store, so sad.
My last transaction at Burbank Pet Plaza was the 'straw on the camel's back". A cashier was talking to another employee about her aunt's dog, and it got lost and her aunt bought it from Pet Love, and this and that and... I just started getting agravated and tried to pick my items and get out of the store fast. So I picked out a dog treat that had coupon taped to the bag (no biggy, just 50 cents), When I got home, the cashier didn't bother to take the coupon and didn't give me my 50 cent off. And I just thought, "this pet store employees seriously dense and stupid who just don't care and have no comprehension of what customer service is?! My husband is a retail store manager who enforces strict customer service guidelines with his employees. But this pet store is a serious joke. I've started going to Petco now, sometiems shop online, and even go to a pet store in Los Feliz by my friend's house. I'm much happier now when I have to buy dog food/cat food for my 3 DOG AND 2 CATS.
So if the store owner is reading this... you may want to consider paying a higher wage and highering better employees to train them the right way. Stay away from teeangers who could flip burgers down the street. YOU ARE SERIOUSLY LOOSING CUSTOMERS!

This is a great place to go, even if its to see the pets. We really like this shoppe because they have such a great variety of pet foods and supplies. The pet accessories are adorable and sometimes one-of-a-kind! The service is quick and friendly, most of the employees are very knowledgeable, too! Everytime we have been, it is clean and organized and we have always found what we have needed, especially for our hamster and when we had our cat. Its cozy inside and just plain fun to look at everything and mingle with the tropical birds.

Best pet shop in town. Knowledgeable salespeople and great animals. They do cat adoptions too.
