Cynthia is one of the most kind and loving teachers at Elan Esprit! My child isn't even in her class and she is always has something nice to say about her! This is a very love teacher and I am so happy at the fact that my child gets to spend time with her! I love Elan and all the teachers. . . This is a wonderful school! One of the things that I love most about this school is the staff feels like family. I know that my child is in the hands of teachers that love their jobs and love the children!

My whole family loves Elan! All the teachers are very loving and fun! Cynthia is a great teacher and so is Raj! They are both very loving and kind! Working with small children is hard but I have ever seen any teacher be unkind to a small child! I love this school. They have wonderful field trips and they are always exposing the children to many wonderful things! This is a great school!

When I decided to send my daughter to preschool in Milpitas, I found almost all preschools having the same curriculum where kids are taught English language skills and math. But Elan Espirit had something else - Field trips and extra in-house activities. Here are the other reasons why I gave it a five-star rating-

1. My daughter loves the school so much that she refuses to come home when I go to pick her up.

2. The teachers are extremely friendly and accommodating when it comes to kids varying needs. They are willing to talk in detail about the kids development and growth at any point in time without setting up any formal appointments. This just shows how involved they are with the kids.

3. I have stopped reading baby center emails or googling for help in dealing with my toddler because I get the required help from the teachers in this school. Ms.Cynthia (who teaches tots) has often helped me with ideas and suggestions in managing my child's varying temperament.

4. The management at this school spends a lot of time and energy in coming up with interesting field trips and activities. The kids get to do myriad activities like hiking, going to the library, gymnastics, pumpkin patch trips, bouncerama, mad science and the list goes on and on. Being a working mother it would be difficult to expose my child to all the fun things out there and I am glad that this school is doing it for me.Apart from this they have a huge backyard without any restriction on use of equipment. My daughter learnt to ride the tricycle and swing on her own under the watchful eyes of the teachers.

5. The stress on academics is just right. They are taught language, math and art in a way in which kids love to read and are interested in learning to write as well. I am happy that inspite of having all the fun, my daughter is making good progress in learning how to read and write.

Overall the school's atmosphere is very friendly and the teachers are loving and caring. I would highly recommend this place to all the parents who are looking to enroll their kids. I like this place so much that inspite of moving to fremont and having 3 preschools stone throw away from my house, I decided not to pull my daughter out of Elan.

My son attended this preschool in 1999 and 2000 and the curriculum was perfect for him. He was only 3 but ready to learn to read and thrived on the morning academics which were simple but effective. Candy, the director, keeps the kids extroverted and busy. That summer they went on bike rides, went hiking, creek-walking, rope-climbing (a preschool version where a rope is trailed down a slope and they use it to help pull themselves up). They also went to Happy Hollow and a variety of restaurants and on other excursions. My son loved reading and also learned to print and learned some basic math. He made great friends and had a wonderful time. The only reason I gave four instead of five stars is that sometimes I felt there was so much activity maybe there wasn't enough personal interaction with the adults in terms of helping them learn social skills - but that's just my consideration as my son thought had fun and learned a lot, too, both academically and physically. One nice thing is that they have a large yard with lots of bikes around. The kids were just climbing on and eventually teaching themselves to ride two-wheelers (and they were always watched to make sure they wore helmets). Once they learned to ride, Candy would reward them by letting them attend "two-wheeler only" bike trips. Very nice school with a good, healthy philosophy and caring staff.
