Great school
by Jennifer B.
Hi. My daughter has been attending this school for about 2 months now and both she and I love this place. It is a completely non-conventional atmosphere. It is family owned and operated. The owners and teachers care so much about every student. Its like one big family. I would recommend it to anyone who needs childcare or preschool in the La Mesa/San Carlos area.

Excellent!...

I have visited the facility couple of weeks ago and found it very cozy, child-friendly and welcoming. The classrooms were well organized, plenty of toys and learning material for kids. They have a nice curriculum and a lot of educational activities for kids. My daughter is 4 yrs and the teacher for that age seemed very educated and knowledgeble. My child starts in a couple of days....

I went into Grow Smart Children's Academy to see what they were all about. I am in search for Daycare for my child, and they offer a good price. But that saying 'You get what you pay for' is true for this evaluation.
It all begins by me entering through the front door which is supposed to be locked, but wasn't. There are materials of construction in that little hallway they use as a passageway to enter into the playground. I met with the Director and my first impression of her unfortunately was awful. As I walked into the classroom, the carpet was dirty, the toys were dirty, there were spiderwebs behind the television...to a first time visitor, it was horrible. I was then taken to the Office, which is no larger than a bathroom. I was completely taken aback of the smell in there, which actually came from the person giving me the tour.
There were a few children around, but unfortunately I will not be going back...EVER.
PROS: That I will never go back!
CONS: Everything.
