"Old School" Race Shop.
I have been involved with off-road motorcycles since 1979. Back then, most dealers were specific to one or two brands of motorcycle; either Yamaha or Suzuki or maybe Kawasaki and possibly a smaller European brand. While your choice selection of brands is much more concentrated, I believe that this is better for the customer. Why? Because the staff is smaller and they usually know much more about their product than those shops who deal in a large variety of toys, not motorcycles. My dealing with this shop began over 10 years ago and most of the time for parts on late 70's dirt bikes. They almost always supply me with the needed parts. That is very reassuring. Just recently I purchased an 06 TTR 125 from them. Before they let it go out the door with me, they informed me of what I needed to check for and clean up to help it run at its best. They also negotiated on the price immediately and were efficient with re-establishing my yamaha credit card, which was paid off years ago. The whole process lasted an hour give or take. I have dealt with the service dept. on many issues. There is now a mechanic there who has the same old bike that I currently ride. It is nice to be able to ask old two stroke questions and have them answered. The mechanic might seem a little gruff, but he has his reasons; ignorant customers, of which I can be one sometimes. The only con that I had with service is that I had tires changed out and wanted the old tires so I could sell them. Somebody there must have claimed the tires first because they could not find them. Oh well.
If you attend local motocross races, you will see their race team as well. Again, this is an Old School Shop the way I remember them and in my opinion the way a dealership should be. Hopefully the Mega Malls will give way to these smaller more intricate dealers
.I will give 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the Tire issue. But I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a Yamaha and appreciates the small Old School feel of walking into a "Bike Shop".
Best Regards
