The staff was very nice and polite. They took Marble ,our Shih Tzu, in right away because of her condition. I had just had her overnight at an emergency hospital. That I had to pay 2500 for one night. Because of this I was low on funds. They were nice enough to explain what had to be done and what would be idea. Low-end, high- end. I asked if this could be done at my vet for less. They were nice enough to call my vet describe Marble's issues to them and came back with the honest answer, with the exception of 24 hour care and a few procedures my vet could do the job. Dr. Bergstrom and Nancy were exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to take my pet there if an emergency situation came up. If it wasn't so far rom my home I would make them my family veterinarian.

I was referred to VCA All Care from my regular vet because there was something wrong with my dog and they couldn't figure out what it was. From the moment I called to set up an appointment I knew it was going to be a great experience. The staff is so incredibly nice. I had a new baby that I had to bring along with my dog and they helped me every step of the way....and acted like they wanted to...not as if they had to or where put out. The doctor discovered that my dog had cancer and we started the chemo treatments. I called every other vet in Southern California and they were all priced the same...but none of them took the time to explain to me the process like they did. When they told me of her condition I cried for 5 minutes and the doctor sat down next to be, but his arm around me and just let me cry. He didn't rush to another room...he stayed with me. I have never met more compassionate people in my life. Anyone that could possibly say anything negative about this vet must me a negative person. I never once ran into a person there that seemed unhappy and my dog was there every Saturday for 6 months getting Chemo treatments. The Staff at VCA All Care will always hold a very special place in my heart.

WORST PLACE EVER!!!!

Do NOT leave your animals here! If absolutely necessary, have them stabilized, then take them to your regular vet.

They will ""DO EVERYTHING BY THE BOOK"" and charge you for every nickel and dime they can come up with.

We paid over $4000 to have a leg set (which was way over their initial estimate--with no call-back to authorize extra expense). The surgery was done improperly & took 4 times longer to heal than normal, and in the end broke again in the same place becuase of improper healing. Our regular vet did a better, more involved job (bone graft at this point) for less than $700.

Just check the internet to see their (bad) record and notice how all positive reviews are copied verbatim to these sites??So I am doing the same!!!

We have had to use the services of VCA All-Care a number of times over the past 10 years. We do, have and will continue to recommend All-Care to our friends, family and acquaintences. We live in Los Angeles and have a number of Emergency/Referral Hospitals to choose from (one only 2 miles from our home) however, we will go out of our way to make sure our 'kids' get the best care we can give them and that is all VCA All-Care. My husband and I have/had 3 cats and 5 dogs so far in our lives together - 3 domestic shorthair cats, a Great Dane, an English Bulldog, a Jack Russell Terrier, a Clumber Spainel, and a Bassett Hound. Each have had at one or more times a unique problem that our family vet was not able to address at his facility. They have held our hands thru emergencies, cancer, diseases, etc. and the end of life issues. We can not recommend them more highly - we have referred family, friends and acquaintences to All-Care. All have walked away knowing that they got the best care for thier 'kids'!

I would have given them zero stars if I could have. This hospital gave me the worst experience at a vet ever. I brought my cat who was very very ill to this hospital because she needed a blood transfusion, something my normal vet couldnt do. The doctors here, specifically Joon Im and Jeff Yu, were condescending, impatient and rude. They act like every question you ask is a waste of their time. When I didn't understand every medical term they used and asked for more clarification they just get EVEN more condescending. Every minute they have to spend talking to you about your pet's condition is a profound annoyance to these two doctors. These doctors couldnt care less about you or your pets and can't even bring themselves to hide it. When I asked for a litter box and food to be keep in her cage at all times (she's in renal failure and very underweight), ALL I GOT WAS A NASTY ATTITUDE. Think of it this way, if they treat YOU so badly, do you really think they will treat your helpless sick pet (who can't tell you if they've been mistreated) any better? All you are to them is a way to make money. And believe me they will exploit every penny out of you that they can because they know how much your pets mean to you. I ended up paying almost $4000 for a 2 day stay that only involved IV fluids, blood transplant and an ultrasound.

For that kind of money I think I deserved a doctor I could trust and who actually cared about my pet and her survival. After having my cat stay here for two days and being treated like an unwelcome relative I was so relieved to be able take her back to my regular vet, the Veterinary Health Care Center in Monterey Park. I feel like my cat is in much much better hands in the care of Dr. Beltran and staff and am only charged a few hundred instead of thousands of dollars per day. Please see my review for more info.

In all honesty, I only dealed with Im and Yu and was very very dissatisfied with both of them. Please dont think I am singling them out because they are the only two asian doctors on the staff, I am asian too. I really dont know if any of the other doctors were any better. The front desk is rude. The vet techs are just ok. I do understand that many pet owners, like me, simply dont have a choice but to come here bc they can do procedures other vets are not set up to do. But if you must come here, make sure you get a doctor you like and trust to do the absolute best to fix your pet. If I could do it again I would have tried to get a referral from my regular vet on which doctor to ask for before I went to all care. You deserve a good, kind, competent doctor for what you will be paying.

We went there only because it was the only place open. They have a history of having people do surgery with ZERO vet training and that is the truth! They will order as many tests as they can get you to pay for. Expect them to want to keep you animal in the hospital at up to THOUSANDS per day once everything it figured in. Depending on who you spoke with last your balance could be quoted as anything. If you are rich it MIGHT be the best game in town for a pet about to die. But if you are on an extreme budget you can expect to be made VERY uncomfortable with what you are told ... I think they play on emotions to milk people out of as much money as they can ...they have a HUGE overhead, a big staff. The place is a "machine" that MUST have steady infusions of YOUR cash to survive. Our dog was vomiting and had a fever. Automatically without ANY questions about health patterns etc they put in an IV and started looking for intenstinal obstructions via Xray which showed none then via ultra sound which showed none then via barium study (dog fed barium liquid and then series of xrays watches it go through) which showed none. then they wanted desperately to do exploratory surgery! I was like "HECK NO!" they said well the dog is on antibiotics and pain meds now and fever improved (yeah it went immediately to normal!) so I said what is the bill we are leaving ...they say "your dog is on drip antibiotics IV let him stay overnight! Then as of tommorrow am it will be about $1000 which you need to give us now to admit. So I ask "if I pay that now, that's the max by am? " they answer "there might be some charges during the night" I am thinking maybe what another $100 in drugs or something? So I aggree and they SAID they would call first thing with total and with complete result of barium study that had gone through small but not large intenstine yet. So i go there bright and early and about THREE HOURS later after speaking with a vet and various people with my INSISTING that my dog is going home, the one vet says "happen to have one more exray during the night of the chest ...dog has pneumonia! You HAVE to leave him 3 or 4 days for THAT ...will only be another $3K THEN we can do exploratory surgery ...HELLO I say ! NO! I am taking him NOW ...so like I say about 3 hours from when I got there they finally produce a bill for my dog's 1st 24 hours ..ready? $3,000! (well a few dollars less but not many!) Mind you the dog is totally normal now, whatever it was the antibiotics apparently smashed it. Well I NEVER had aggreed to that so we negotiated the amount to half but I still feel like a victim even if they may have helped my dog (likely I could have waited two hours and gon to my regular vet) oh well water under the bridge lesson learned. Now I would warn others is all! I spoke with a lady there, her dog was there for 8 days NO SURGERY and it was 10 thousand dollars ...that is typical. If your dog truly means evereything to you and you have money enough to cover anything for your pet without leaving yourself or other family members broke then I guess it might be the place to save your pet ... then again if they do un needed surgery that could also harm or kill your pet ... I'm just saying this is what this palce is like be carefull and if you take my advice go somewhere with a better reputation even if you do have deep pockets!

Dog vomiting for less than 1 day...... no dehydration...... vet at this center wanted to keep the dog overnight with IV at the cost of $800-$1200. Dog weighs less than 8 lbs and not lethargic at all. GIVE ME A BREAK!! It does not cost that much for a human being with no insurance to spend the night at the hospital!! Ended up taking useless x-ray at the bargain price of $120 (my x-ray cost only $40).
Absolutely ridiculous prices!! I felt they wanted to run every single test on the face of this planet!! Then suggested I give the dog over counter anacid.

I was very pleased with the care that they provided for a little Nile monitor rescue that I came upon. It was after hours and my regular veterinarians referral hospital was not equipped to handle a sick little lizard. I found my wait time to be minimal and the service was very good. I felt that the cost for the treatment I received was more than fair. The staff seemed comfortable handling her although she was not feeling her usual perky self. I have had a couple of not positive experiences with other hospitals trying to treat my exotics and not having the correct knowledge or equipment, I thought that the hospital was well prepared.

PROS: found to be a great deal. good medecine that was not too expensive.
CONS:

They have good doctors and service. They are very professional and take really good care of the animals. They are open 24 hours and have an emergency room. The wait to be seen is about 15-20 minutes. I wish they were a little more affordable but I guess to get quality sometimes it will cost you. The prices are competitive though.

PROS: Mostly everthing
CONS: wait can be a little long & animal/medical care can be expensive

State-of-the-art veterinary facility -- this is the place to go if your pet has a major problem. They have a complete surgical staff, and oncology and neurology specialists. The doctors are all very nice and really know their stuff. Their technology is amazingly cutting-edge.

The only problem is that you usually have to wait a really long time in the waiting room, even if you have an appointment. They also tend to quote you one price for a specific procedure, and then add on lots of extra littlecharges, which is really annoying. So, if your pet really needs extensive medical attention, he'll get excellent care here. Otherwise, go to your local vet.
