Suriya Thai Restaurant

located within walking distance from the hospital, the thai food here is delicious. I recommend trying the suriya fried rice, it is one of my favorite dishes there!

I didn't discover this place-- I was brought there-- by my Thai students. I worked for a long time as a teacher of English as Second Language and my students and I would ofetn go out to lunch together on Friday afternoons to reward ourselves for a hard week's work. When two Thai students joined our class, we let them pick where to bring us and they chose Suriya.

I have long been a fan of Thai food, especially of Panang (a curry dish with coconut milk) and Ga Pow (a spicy-hot mint leaves dish) but never have I had them be better than here.

The food is always delicious and always fresh and the staff are lovely and smiling, always. It is a really low-key place, just across from the Huntington Hospital in the Vons plaza. So, pop in and grab some authentic Thai grub! Remember to tell them your food was 'Aloy!' (delicous in Thai)
