They have different items than ACME or other breadshops. Andersen does loafs, Japanese style breads, and delicious pastries. Their large cheese pastry is humongous and really cheese-y.

Although this is a bakery, they also have delicious coffee and ice cream, both of which are very cheap and worth the price! I just got the vanilla ice cream, but it was very creamy and smooth. The coffee was just right and you can add your own cream and sugar to taste.

My favorite has got to be the Saffron Raisin Twist.
Sprinkled with slivered almonds and topped with crisscrossing white frosting, the raisin twist is only lightly to medium sweetened (due to the frosting). Perfect for a morning breakfast with coffee/tea or a mid-afternoon snack. Also try their custard filled, mini-french rolls.
Price is decent for most pastries and their loaves of bread are amazingly soft and fresh. (There is also a Andersen Bakery at Tanforan Shopping Center - recently remodeled - so parking is definitely easier at the 'newer' location.)
PROS: Delicious and only lightly sweet
CONS: Parking... definitely a hassle at the Post location

This is the kind of fabulous little bakery that every neighborhood should have. They carry fresh-made breads, cookies, mini-cakes, muffins, cupcakes, you name it, they have it. And the best part is that everything I've had here is good! Everything is not that sweet which is terrific. Great place to have a morning breakfast.
