I live in LA and drive all the way to Torrance to get my hair cut by Julie at Creative Cuts. She takes her time, discusses different options with me & is super sweet! They are also reasonably priced...$55 for a cut.

On Wednesday nights they are open late and get catered food for their customers. =)

I recently went in to get my hair cut and styled for my 18th birthday party. I mentioned before going to my assigned stylist who was Reva that i wanted a hair style and cut like a singer i love. To my surprise when i went there the day of the appointment she had printed out numerous photos just for me of the singer!!! She was very sweet and did an amazing job, i dont think my hair has ever looked that great!!! I will defiantly continue to go to her, i read the previous review on Reva and its just hard for me to wrap around my head that she is speaking about the same person!! she was amazing and so detailed and listened to every request that i had. love love loveeeeeeeeeeeeed it!

Pros: great staff! clean and nice atmopshere

Went to the same haircutter (maria) at this salon for over a year, always left a 20% tip as I received a decent cut for the price. However after a recent appointment blunder, I chose to find another salon. Was waiting for my haircut, 30 minutes goes by the appointment time (made 2 weeks in advance), then 45 so I asked the receptionist how long should I wait? Her response, oh she's in the middle of a haircut so it would be another 30 minutes? Huh? So, I asked her why the delay when I made my appointment 2 weeks ago. (Sorry but an hour delay seems excessive for someone who has made an appointment!). The reason . . . hairdresser had taken a walk-in appointment. Guess she forgot her regular customer's appointment. As I had a meeting to attend, I was forced to leave with out my haircut. Did she bother to call and appologize?, NO. Guess 20% is too cheap of a tip these days. Hope the walk-in was worth the lost of a customer.

OK, well I just moved to LA recently and needed a good place to get my hair done. I read the reviews about this place and it seemed good as well as close to my house. I made my appointment with Reva, who was the person available that day. I went in and told her EXPLICITLY what I wanted. I was not in any way unclear. I wanted to go to a more natural blond with lighter highlights, side swept bangs, and light layers that some what framed my face in the front and were more dramatic in the back. What did I get??? No joke; near platinum blond ALL over my head, no bangs, and barely any color variance that a person could notice. When she asked me if I liked it I simply replied; "Well sure, except for it is nothing like what I asked for at all and you didn't even give me bangs and the color is wrong." You know what she said?? She said," Oh wow, I totally forgot. I'm sorry." CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? Is it not their job to listen to their customers? I did pay, and I did give her a tip because I just obligated to do so. I can honestly say that I would never go back to her ever again, and I hope that either she has learned from her mistakes or they have fired her. I paid over $150 to have someone do the opposite of what I wanted.

Pros: They do serve a nice hot tea there.

Cons: The person I had did NOT listen at ALL to what you wanted.

this was my first time here and I got Carmen to cut my hair. she was very attentive and really listened to what i wanted. it was a great experience!

The service is great and the stylist are professional and skilled. I love my stylist Gina. I don't even have to tell her what I want anymore. My cuts are always super cute and my color is HOT!

Pros: great attitude, great prices, good parking
