There is a Bel Air market on Florin Rd. It's across the street from a section 8 apartment complex. They know they have a captive audience because so many of those folks can't drive or travel any distance (many are elderly and handicapped) so they rip them off. We shop at the nearby Nugget store, and find that their prices are on average 15% less. There is no excuse for this, other than price gouging. And literally every week Bel Air's prices go up almost a dollar for every item.

I don't like to shop at Bel Air. If I need to purchase meat and I want quality, I'll go to Bel Air, but everything is just too expensive! Almost everything in the store costs five dollars. A block of Tillamook cheese costs $3.39 at a competing grocery store, but a block of cheese half that size at Bel Air typically costs $3.99. That's just ridiculous. People like Bel Air because attendants bag your groceries and walk them out to your car, but I'd much rather bag my own groceries and save $30-$40 every trip. Why pay $5 for a box of Cheerios at Bel Air when you can pay $1.99 for an even bigger box of the same cereal at another grocery store? Unless you are looking for a specialty item, save your wallet!

This is a nice grocery store. The shelves are alway stocked and organized. The bakery always has plenty of goodies. I think the prices are still a little high.
