My Fiance and i went to the resort for his birthday and we ended our wonderful journey with dinner at this fantastic restaurant. We arrived a little late (close to closing) and the hostess was so sweet and told us she would get us in. When we did get in, everything from the bar to the view was wonderful. We had fun chatting with the bartender before we found our seat. our waiter was great with our order ( we're a little picky) and the food was marvelous. We were able to sit back and enjoy the view of the moon shinning on the water (our table was right by the window.) Our time here was the best spend on ANY vacation we've ever taken.

Azzura Point is now called Mistral. The food is just as good although the menu is a little different. You can get a bucket of Mussles and a glass of wine for 10 dollars in the bar! I have enjoyed Azzura Point since 1995 and will miss it but I look forward to future meals at Mistral! The seafood is all locally caught unless otherwise stated on the menu and they grow many seasonings on premises.

Every room has an ocean view here, even if you have to stand on your balcony and lean to see it. Nestled between the canals and the bay, this resort feels a long way away from the city, yet is close.

They offer EVERYTHING from Restaurants, to renting a boat or jet ski, pools, spas, fitness center and so much more. If you like nastalgia, the double staircase in the lobby reminds me of the refirbished Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. You can go and pamper yourself while your other half plays golf. It has EVERYTHING.... The rooms are so nice. they have a view of either the ocean or the bay.... The bathrooms are amazing, big tubs, separate showers, just gorgeous. Best time to go there to relax is the summer time, they have a big screen TV that they put out by their pools and you can float and watch a movie. How much better can that get? Here is their web addy.. http://www.loewshotels.com/hotels/sandiego/default.asp?source=adwords
It is expensive, but it is worth saving up for just to say you have been there done that!

PROS: Luxury all the way... They deserve more then a 5 Star...

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night. To start, when you enter the hotel is beautiful. Huge stairways that connect with nice big chandeleir in the middle. Rooms were not very big, but very nice, and the view was great. We were not on a top floor, but we could still overlook onto the water and see all the sailboats and even catch a glimpse of the San Diego bay. The staff was great, when we arrived to our room they had left for us a wonderful platter of chocolate covered strawberries with a note from management congratulating us on our wedding! The hotel is calm, and even though its not super luxurious, its definitely a nice getaway from everyday life.
