well, where can i start?... Five points sash and door is run by a ragtag group of guys, most of whom lack professionalism. I had a chance to speak with several of the installers on my trip down to the store. I wanted a good deal and the owner of the company told me he could give me one... But, when i went down there, they were insulting, and obviously considered me stupid. They gave me no good deal, and further more insulted my intelligence by telling me that there are other stores in town that will not provide me with what i would have considered a "deal". I caved anyway and purchased my windows... , when they came to install them. they were late, didn't use drop cloths and let dirt get all over my new rugs...
the installer used many slurs most of which were racial in origin, and since they assumed i couldn't speak Spanish, they spoke very freely. If i were to do it all over again i think that i would have gone to clark adams or another reputable window company, instead of one that is by no means reputable. I would even consider doing it myself.
Again, this is not a company that i will consider again.

I needed to have my pedestrian door leading from my yard to the garage replaced. A neighbor of mine recommended that I call Five Points. When I called, I spoke to the owner, I believe his name was Aron. I asked him for a quote on the job, and prompted quoted me $695 and said, "You'll let me know?" I told him that I was unable to do that since it was far out of my budget. He asked, "How much can you afford, be honest?" I told him I hoped to spend between $200 and $250 for the job. He said, "You sound like a nice lady ... I'll work with you. Get the measurements and come see me." I figured that if he asked me to be honest and still would be willing to work with me, it would be worth the 15 minute drive to his business.

I showed up with my measurements a few days later. He did a quick tallying of figures, telling me he NEVER does this (gives such a wonderful recession deal) and quickly reported he could do the job for $631. Do you see the problem?!? When I asked why he had me come in when he was truly unwilling to "work with me" on the price. He got defensive, telling me it was back breaking work. "At least you got to come in and meet me. I think I'm a nice guy." A nice guy who thought I would feel pressured to whip out my credit card and buy a door I told him I couldn't afford.

I quickly left, contacted a handyman, and got the door replaced for $250. My mom and aunt have patronized 5 Points. In the future, I'm sure they will not think of 5 Points when they need doors or windows replaced.
