Everett & Jones Barbeque

If you are looking for a way to talk your friend out of going vegan, try walking past Everette & Jones on your way out of the Albatross Pub or Freight and Salvage after a show.

The smell of the slow cooking hickory-smoked BBQ alone is reason to go there. The thing that I like is the meat. And they still give you that slice of "wonder bread" ( a.k.a. "wonder if its bread or not"). It's kind of entertaining just hanging there. You never know who you're going to sit next to. Maybe Rick James could walk in and dis yo mamma - you never know.

Evertte & Jones is actually part of a chain of Oakland BBQ places - which are in a category of their own. I reviewed this particular one because it's close to my neighborhood, and because I cant resist going in there when I smell the smell.. mmmm. I actually recommend getting a combination of Chicken Pork and Beef.

And as the management says" "You cant beat the meat at Everette and Jones".

PROS: Slow cooked sweet-hickery wood oven, Smokehouse smell .. Delicious!
CONS: Obesity, Arterial Sclerosis, Heart Attacks
