Very helpful estimators and quality work

by Erik L.

I recently had my wifes car repaired at Krafts and even though the car was only 5 months old (08 Honda Accord) when they fixed the entire left side of the car that had been gashed open from bumper to bumper they handled things extremely well.

I wasnt sure if anyone was going to be able to fix that much damage but when I got the car back the side that had been fixed looked exactly like the other side of the car and you could not find a trace of repair anywhere.

The estimator I had was so easy to deal with and I never had to talk to my insurance company or deal with anyone other then him , he kept me informed about what was going on all through the process and they even finished a day ahead of when they said they would.

I read the other reviews in here and wasnt sure but after I checked with a independant company that rates them from other customers I figure there is always someone that you cant please.

The company that I looked at for the independant reviews was Diamondcertified.com

I would definatly recomend them to my friends and family.

Insist on a different body shop !!!

by Carol D.

When someone backed into the passenger side of my Mercedes, I wasn't too concerned as I knew their insurance would cover the repairs.
When I went to pick up the car, right away I noticed significant damage to the detailing on the driver's side of the car. I pointed it out to the company's owner, who happened to be near by. He assured me that it would be taken care of the next day. Although the staff eventually agreed to redo the stripes, after researching photos which clearly showed the striping to be undamaged prior to the body work, they refused to take responsibility and implied that they were doing me a favor. I rarely opened the passenger side doors and almost never had a passenger in the car, so it was three months before I realized that the back passenger door (the one that had been replaced) wouldn't open and the seatbelt had been re-installed incorrectly, so it doesn't work. Shortly after this discovery, the transmission on the car went out, and the car sat, undriven, for nearly 3 years. A few months ago, the Mercedes got a rebuilt transmission and I am now driving it again, however, the car door still doesn't open and the seatbelt still doesn't work.
I know if I take it back to Kraft Body Shop, they will deny responsibilty, even though have witnesses to all the above stated facts, and they can see from the mileage that the car was hardly driven since the repairs.
The latest problem is a quarter sized blotch of RUST on the door they replaced. The Mercedes' original paint was 'rust-proof' and there's no evidence of rust anywhere else on the car.
I realize that I'm going to have to contact the insurance company to force Kraft Body Shop to correct the poor work done originally, but feel that if the company was honorable, I would not have to go this route. Frankly, I dread the inevitable refusal to own up to their responsibility and being on the receiving end of more of their condescending attitude.

PROS: The only 'Pro' is that I didn't pay for the botched job.
CONS: Sloppy, incompetent work.
